There is a thing called the franchise tag that they can use. That would limit their ability to leave.
They get enough money they will sign.Period.

Gesicki can go for sure.
Ogbah needs to stay and keep our DL strong.

I think I’d rather keep Ogbah than Gesicki.
I like Gesicki’s passion, and I always felt like his celebrations were directed at coaches more than anything else. Maybe a better OC could get him more involved. But pressure on opposing QBs is more valuable than a one-dimensional TE. I do hate losing another second round pick, though.

Hate these types of post, pure speculation with no basis. Neither of these players or any other players signed a contract with Flores, they signed it with Miami.

Howard only cares about the $$.
Gesicki on the other hand, actually got screwed over by Flores' lack of any emphasis on the offense. If he would have gotten creative playcallers and coaching/talent on the Oline, Gesicki would have made a truckload of money hitting bonuses. Flores directly and indirectly held Gesicki back.
Im intrigued by what a real OC can do schemeing up Gesicki in the future.
