I thought we were going to promote Patrick Cobbs to be our third RB in the JAX game?? I haven't seen or heard any info. on this anywhere. I read somewhere that maybe we were going to re-sign Lee Suggs. Has anyone heard anything more on this situation??

At Nick's press conference a couple days ago, Nick said that he'd let everyone know when someone was added to the RB position and we have not heard anything yet. I don't undertstand what the big holdup is. After all, our game against JAX is only 2 days away now.

Would still like to have Kay Jay :) that guy was fun to watch. kind of like a poor man's ricky ya know? Had some speed, but played SMASH mouth football. I was psyched and thought he'd be a great 3rd RB option.

Why Not Use The Guy From Navy The Fullback Pound The Ball On Jaguars.they Might Think Sammy Or Minor Will Get The Loed So Lets Pound And Suprise Them.

It could happen *starts flapping arms up and down* (angels in the outfield, i no baseball but still keeping hope alive) i think that no matter what we should be ok i mean i no morris and minor arnt awsome starting runing backs but how rarely do we get to a 3rd string. aslong as morris and minor stay healthy and get + yards each carry im not worried yea it would be nice to have a rd string but untill ronnie getes back i think were ok

Cobb is on the 53 man roster, but doesn't Saban have to name him as active for the game for him to actually play?

According to the Miami Herald today:

MOVING UP
Rookie running back Patrick Cobbs will be signed from the practice squad to the active roster Saturday, and his contribution will come almost exclusively on special teams -- unless something happens to Sammy Morris or Travis Minor.

And that will be a test for a player whose time with the Dolphins has been spent working primarily on the scout team.

''I've learned what to do,'' Cobbs said. ``I feel like I have it down pretty well. I feel I can get in there and do stuff full speed.''

Cobbs, signed to the practice squad when the Patriots waived him, hadn't gotten any repetitions with the Miami offense until the bye week.
