To each his own. I was offered free tickets for a few games this year. Good seats too in the 100 level. I declined. I have no desire to watch this team until they get their stuff together.

Not quite the same comparison. Yeah it's Friday and the ticket prices may not always have been this high but these are the cheapest tickets available for this weekend:
Chiefs/Colts: $90.00
Saints/Eagles: $102.90
Chargers/Bengals: $84.50
No 49ers/Packers tickets are available I guess.
Miami Dolphins tickets during the regular season are relatively cheap when compared to the other teams in the league. I can imagine it'd be difficult to spend that much money on a single ticket a week after Christmas.
Its really quite simple. Season tickets are expensive and playoffs tickets are even more expensive. With that being said some people cannot afford to but season tickets AND playoff tickets. It was discussed at length on Sirius and makes complete sense. Teams like GB and Indy have no problem selling out regular season games and thus it is a testament to how expesive it can get, instead of a bad fanbase.

Hell I've gone skiing when it was -5 at the top of the mountain with a strong wind and ended up sweating my ass off by the time I reached bottom. If you live up there you have the clothes for it and know how to dress for it. It's really not that big a deal.
The mistake you are making is exactly the mistake the out of towner's make bitching about poor local fan turn out.It's almost a political debat which no one seems to ever win nor will they.
With out the "out of towners" no stadium would sell out.Same goes for the locals,they are both important. Everytime either the locals defending their reasons they aren't or cant or wont go or the outsiders complaining the locals aren't showing up,both sides lose.
So leaving the "Suck it out of towners" is where you should and did deserve the thumbs down.I would have given you 10 if it was possible.
