I have been giving this a lot of thought and I have decided that Lazor is the biggest problem we have. Let me Explain.

Our offense is at it's best when? Answer - 2 Minute hurry up offense which is when Tannehill can call the plays at the line.

Our offense sputters every time we huddle and who is calling the stupid (cute) plays or short check downs? - Answer Bill Lazor.

Tannehill actually looks more comfortable being in full control and is more decisive, more active and actually shows a little life. Lazor will not allow him the freedom to call audible's because he views him as a game manager. I have read multiple reports saying as much. When will he wake up and smell the roses and take the leash off and see what Tannehill can do? We are paying him Top 10 QB money so how about letting him have control of the offense like a Top 10 QB?

1. If they don't let him audible, they certainly aren't letting him call plays in the 2min offense. They are just doing a hurry-up...that's it. I highly doubt Tannehill calling anything...
2. Maybe the D being in prevent has a little to do with it...

I agree. Lazor wants to control RT like his own personal living play station video game QB. He loves being hands on.
If he just gave the game plan with plays to him like Griese and Marino, I am sure the team would be doing much better.
Lazor is a snake.

Agreed

You cannot run a professional offense with any kind of efficiency by not allowing more control at the line. It's not like Tannehill isn't smart enough to do it. There are those that say that he was allowed a little more freedom (very little) under Sherman, and he wasn't as good. That was also his rookie and second seasons with some pretty horse**** weapons. Others say that it's Tannehilll that's a coach killer. Then again, no one is swooping up to pick up the brilliant Mike Sherman, and soon Lazor will be back in college.

There's no question he's better in the hurry up.

Lazor is the problem. I had hoped it was all Joes fault, but we are the same team, running the same dumb offense. Run the ball.sooner or latter you will get yards. look at Ivory today nothing all day then couple of runs and in the 4th he does something. You have an good tight end use him ....How can you not put Tanny under center when your center can not handle a shotgun snap? When you are last in the league in 3rd down conversions, you might want to change up what you do on 1st and 2nd down.

I really want to believe Lazor is the problem. But why would it be in Lazor's interest to hold Tannehill back? Does Lazor want to be unemployed? Do we really think if Lazor felt Tannehill could fully command the offense, he wouldn't allow it? I mean we do have Dan Campbell stating that the staff feels Tannehill needs less on his plate so he can play faster, make quicker decisions, etc. We have Pouncey making the protection calls. All of the evidence points to this staff attempting to tailor the offense to Tannehill's strengths.

With a mediocre QB behind a weak O line, that has a bunch of possession receivers and 1 speed guy in Stils that doesn't burn by many defensive backs and when he does, drops the ball a bunch, don't know what offensive coordinator would be effective. Our personnel sucks and Lazors play calls make them suck even more.

First it was Mike Sherman, then Philbin, then Bill Lazor....One thing all these guys had in common was a WR learning how to play QB at the highest level. Tannehill is an overpaid backup QB in the NFL. Once there are no more people to blame for our mediocrity, you will see what alot of us realist fin fans see. He isn't good enough. Lazor knows it and so does the rest of the league.

No more excuses
