This draft looks like another very strong one for wideouts. Obviously Cooper won't be there for us, but a big playmaker on the outside is crucial in this league, and it's very hard to find one outside of the first round.
Whether or not we keep Wallace is irellevant to me in this desire. I want to dump Hartline, and pair either Wallace or Gibson/ Matthews with a rangy, explosive, TD making wide out on the other side with Landry in the slot.... Preferably Wallace, giving us a bevy of playmakers across the field that will truly scare defenses.

In this order I'd like

1. Davante Parker
2. Jaelen Strong
3. Kevin White

These 3 all have the capacity to become a true #1 receiver in the mold of a Dez Bryant type, and we can fill needs at guard, and various defensive positions later on and in FA. Just my opinion. Thoughts?

I want to like Jaelen because I really think there's a good chance we could draft him.

But man, he does not get much separation in college, imagine what it will look like in the NFL. Reminds me so much of Jonathan Baldwin in college. But than again, Baldwin reminded a lot of people of Brandon Marshall, so who knows.

I don't think He should be drafted anywhere near a mid 1st rnd pick though. I've given up on getting Parker unless this franchise for once wants to do what it Should of done time and time again and go after a game changer on offense in the 1st rnd.

I leaning toward a big man at DT like Danny Shelton. I am also looking at CB.

This team has to get it right on the offensive and defensive lines.

Devante Parker looks like a stud tonight. Wow. Catches every ball with his hands. Toss it up and he gets it.

Kevin White is really impressive, too. I think we might be seeing the dawn of a new era in which college wide receivers are going to come into the pros and just be excellent right from the get-go.

I don't. I think this was an aberration this season. It is still a hard position to come in and play. The kids in this year's draft were very special.

However, I DO think this RB class in 2015 will be like the receiving class this year.

Could be, but I suspect that the renewed emphasis on illegal contact and the innovation in the college game will help a lot of these guys step right in and be productive.

I'm preferential to Shelton as well. He would have a positive effect on the Run D.

I am currently watching the Foster Farms Bowl; the phins IMO should double dip from the farm in Palo Alto. Ty Montgomery in the 2nd & Cajuste (day 3 or UDFA).

I agree with the emphasis on the illegal contact. That is good point.

I understand why people want shelton, I'm just tired of boring 1st rnd picks, and think it's time to to fully commit to building around tannehill.

No matter how good your defense is in today's NFL, it very hard to rely on that side of the ball game in and game out as we saw this past season. But if you have a potent offense, you'll consistently win more games than you'll lose every year.

What about a guy like Funchess??? He could be a guy that slides to the 2nd round. He seems to be a Gronkowski type player. He can line up at WR and TE. He's a redzone threat that we need. That would allow us to pick up a DT in the 1st round.

I love Parker and White. Miami has so many holes to fill, but would be awesome to get a playmaker in round 1 and then build the defense.

Yet, a big space eating NT could very likely prevent a collapse in the run D.

That said, I'm watching the Orange Bowl and am intrigued by Darren Waller... given GA Tech's track record; he should get a look. Probably a UDFA

I agree with you. I love defense, but let's put a few more pieces together on offense. I'd like to see Miami get a starting defensive tackle and offensive lineman in free agency. That would free the Dolphins up to get a playmaker like White, Parker, Funchess, Gordon or Gurley. Not that high on Strong, at least not for round 1.

I know this is a pipe dream, but can you imagine Miami signing Thomas from Denver in free agency and then adding Funchess in the draft. The Dolphins offensive rise could be something special to see.

With the defense on the decline, I know the team needs to add players there. But, dramatically improving the offense will also help on defense.

He reminds me so much of Jared Cook, and I loved cooks talent. But you have to wonder about guys that big who don't block very often. How much do they love football? Admittedly I haven't watched a ton of his play and didnt watch Michigan much, but a quick glance at his stats he had 4 TDs this Year, 3 came against appalachian state. Why the huge lack of TDs? Maybe someone else here can explain?

I think you can find space eaters in free agency or later in the draft. And at the end of the day I don't think your going to win many games because you added some guys who can take space up.

I'm not saying its not important but this team desperately needs to start using it's high draft picks on game changers and not position fillers.
