We will not be a legit team until we get a QB.

When are we going to get a franchise QB?(Don't say next year when Brohm comes out) We have been saying next year for a freakin decade now.

I know some of you don't want to hear it but we need Quinn.
We need him. You don't get many chances at a franchise QB. Some of you think he will be a flop. I think we need to take the chance. If I had to put odds on it I would say:
80% - solid starter or better
15% - decent player
5% Bust

When will we have a chance like this again?

Agreed 100%, and I've said this (in some form or another) in almost every one of my posts in the Draft forum,.

Question though, have we even brought Quinn in for a visit? If not, do we PLAN too? I haven't heard anything and if he doesn't visit that pretty much garuntees we aren't drafting him, nevermind moving up for him.

Totally agree we need to draft our franchise QB. I don't see Quinn being a flop especially while Cam is calling the plays. Don't know that we need to bring him in, as our QB coach Terry Shea coached Quinn in his pre-draft preparations. Probably has a better feel for Quinn than most coaches/teams.

Dude, by the picture on your avatar, you are a little disturbed. You need to get off of Quinn's you know what. We have DC, Lemon, possibly Green, and a chance at a late 2nd round or 3rd round QB to develop.

Our 1st round pick needs to go to a NEED. Not a luxury pick like Quinn. If you even call him that. He actually has some possible bust written over him according to some experts.

You don't think QB is a need for us?

Let's see:
Culpepper - Hasn't played in 2 years and might never be more than a shell of what he once was.
Lemon - Not going to lead us to the promised land. Good backup yes.
Green - One more head shot away from retirement, and he is 37!!!
2nd or 3rd rounder - What are the chance that this QB will be the one?

You and ricky must have the same yoga instructor.

Boomer has him at #3.

3. Brady Quinn.
Not buying any of the nonsense that has surrounded his draft 'off-season'. A brilliant leader of men, as hard working off the field as he is good on it. From diet to tape study, from weight room work, to finding sports that compliment his ability – his work with Zbikowski as a boxer for example. If Miami ended up with him, it'd be a happy day in the Clancy house. I think he's the sort of player that you win Superbowls with and I'm certain that Cam views him as the sort of player that he can work with for a decade and build Miami into something dominant.

Quinn never beat a powerhouse in his college career. ND got smoked every big game. he padded his stats against the NAvy's and the other softies on the schedule.

How many times did Peyton lose to Florida?

Would you want him as our QB?

It takes more than a great QB to win a big game.

If all it took was a great QB then we would of had a few super bowl wins during Marino's time.

It takes a great supporting cast.

he beat Georgia Tech on the road, Penn State, Pittsburgh on the road twice, Tennessee on the road AND at home, and to top it off Michigan on the road AND at home....

so what the hell are you talkin about?

Oh heavens Slippy I don't know where to start....or if I should even try in the first place. You've been ESPNized....you heard the same drivel on ESPN all year to where you now believe it. It's a shame there are so many of you out there.

You probably also think Trent Edwards would be a good qb too...the same qb who's team got beat 37-6 by Navy.

Or the fact that when you take away the 3 service academies from ND's schedule this year, he still averages 280 yds a game w/3 tds and just under 1 int a game. Oh btw, 8 of the other teams were bowl teams as well.

But keep on keepin on my man.

That is the exact reason we NEED Quinn.

How do you figure Quinn is a luxury pick? How many FA QBs (like you want Green this year), traded-for QBs (like C-Pep and Lemon, just to name the recent ones), or later round drafted QBs (Berlin and Heupel) have worked out for us? I would say 1st round QB is a NEED.
