I hate throwing the towel on a season...There's still a LONG way to go and I would never quit or forfeit games but it seems the horrible offseason we had is continuing and there's no end in sight..
Therefore I thought of a couple things that I'd do if I were coach of my beloved Dolphins, with an eye towards the future :D

- Bua, Pope and Moore are 3 young guys who we will need to contribute someday...Why not put one in to replace Greenwood ?...If i'm not mistaken Morlon will be a FA after this year and I'd rather see some homegrown talent take over at OLB than someone else...We invested a fairly high draft pick in Moore and it might be time to find out what he's made of...

- Will Poole should get more playing time as the season wears on...I'm a big Madison fan (Had an off year 2 years ago but as evidenced by this season wasn't getting help deep by the slower Marion adn Knight tandem last year)

- I'm itching to see how Carey looks (We did trade to get the man we wanted, was it the right decision ???) but after the failed Wade Smith experiment i tend to think he's better off learning and be a part time contributor...Bring him in slowly...A lineman's confidence counts for a lot...

- Bring some competition for the O-line...At this point we'll only be able to sign street free agents, these young guys need to show us what they can do but up to here it's been UGLY and I believe we can STILL find improvements (as evidenced by NE who had Hochstein and another no name starting for them last year)

- Derrious Thompson showed last season he doesn't deserve to be starting in this league (if not playing) Why not give Gilmore or another young guy the chance to come in and contribute...

- I won't get into coaching stuff...Wanny and Co. will not be here next year (then again who thought he'd be in this year ?) but the questiuon becomes do you bring in a new coach at midseason if the bleeding continues ? Who could they promote from the organization ? I'm not a fan of Trestman, the man hasn't done anything to show me he can be a coach...Foerster should be washing towels...Bates doesn't have a lot of fans among us but IMO he seems like the best candidate with the job he's done coaching our D these last few years...Provided that would be on an interim basis, the next question is who do we get to be our fulltime coach next year...Should it be Rick's decisions after the questionable signigns (James, Boston, Howard who havn't contributed much) and trades (Feeley, Gordon) he's done ??????
