First off I want to explain to all you I grew up an hour away from Lambeau field and my great grandfather has been a season ticket holder since before the icebowl days. It is impossible to get season tickets in Green Bay. If you were to put your name in today you would be lucky to get tickets before you die. Well my great grandfather won the tickets by being the top sales man of the year for a local insurance company. A couple years before the ice bowl. My great grandpa died before i was born but he left the tickets to my grandpa in his will and still has the tickets today.
How did i become a Dolphin Fan??? My other grandparents live in Ft. Lauderdale and I vacationed there since i have been very young. My grandpa took me to a few games. I obviously fell in man love with Dan Marino and ever since have been a loyal Dolphin fan.
Anyways, my grandpa is getting older and he decided he didnt want to go the game so he gave the tickets to my dad and I. It wasnt overly cold about 33 degrees. Before the game started the field was a mix of brown and green. by the end of the game it was completely white. My dad has gone to pretty much every game with my grandpa for the past 20 years and said it was the best atmosphere he has ever seen, and the most snow that has ever fallen during a game at lambeau. When Brett Favre ran out on the field the entire stadium stood up and the loudest roar of the entire game came over the stadium. Every single person stood up at that time. Most of them never sat down the rest of the game. Not even when Grant lost the two fumbles. The snow fell so hard and so much that I turned around and gathered up the snow and was throwing snowballs throughout the game. There was such an aura over the stadium it was unbelieveable. If any of you ever get the chance to come to Lambeau field you should do so. I will never stop being a Dolphin fan, but I am definately jealous of the fans and the support they give at Lambeau field. One of the coolest expirences of my life.
