He kept saying the whole game, why don't they double team Welker?....and for most of the game the guy was wide open. They started putting an extra guy on Welker towards the end of the game, but not until he carved our defense like a Thanksgiving Turkey...what took us so long to figure this out???

u think it bc we asted time covering that randy guy that plays for the pats

I can not stand Phil Simms. He over states the obvious, swings his opinions based on no fact, states a bunch of BS and then tries to cover it up with more BS.

When I listen to him all I hear is the teacher from Charlie Brown.

I hate Phil Simms too, we were not correcting the obvious....Welker was always wide open. So our fear of the long ball with Moss was leaving Welker basically uncovered so he could run free?....it was glaring!

Oh I know I was swearing at the TV myself for some Welker coverage. It's just been a few months since I professed my hatred of Simms. ha.

See the beauty in the Pats offense is this, you double Moss and Welker is open. You drop a LB back to take away Welker and bam you hit Watson or Faulk underneath.

It was nice to see the defense make some adjustments in the 4th that worked and the pressure on Brady, if you hit Tom Thumb and put him on the ground he will lose the game for the Pats 9 time out of 10.

Big win.

Westphish,

Thank you!

OMG!!!

I don't know. I mean, you double Welker, then Moss is one on one. Or you could double both, and the TE is or runningback is likely to be wide open. I'd rather let Welker carve us up underneath than let Moss run one one one, because he is a threat to take a long pass to the house on any plan.

I just think any scheme we would have come up with would have one of their players having a lot of receiving yards, we just don't have the speed on defense yet to keep up with that.
