I went to the game, sat at the 40 yd line, ten rows back. First off, Cincinnati was having its Octoberfest in downtown all weekend, so most of the fans (and they were all there literally since they were pumped about finally possibly having a good team and being on tv) were drunk and rowdy as hell. I think most of fans stood for most of the game down by me, which was so unlike games I have been to in Buffalo and Miami. The crowd was really behinf their team and were noisy, so it was not a good place for Miami. We held our ground though in the 1st half, and stayed competitive. Either Cinci is not as good as they are advertised or Miami isn't as bad. Yes, the offense was offensive, but their was promise at times in the passing game. But we never once threw long..why? Brightful was dropping all the balls, but man can he make plays if he can holdon to the ball...we just need to teach him ball control, he is exciting to watch. Our running game sucked, but most of that was because our line didn't open up any holes. The defense played great except for the last series, but it is my understanding that the pass that went for twenty yards was against Wyrick after Poole went out for a play. If that is the case, Cinci took advantage of an injury. We have great backups on the defense, but I am concerned about Chester's injury and hope he doesn't miss too much time with Tim out, we could be hurting up the middle. But overall defense looked good, especially playing in such a hostile environment. I thought the fans were going to start a fight with us many times, they literally were trashed and acting like asses. It was a sad display of sportsmanship, but it reminded me of Buffalo. Well, the game got exciting at the end, made me mad because I was going to leave early to be the crowds, but no way was I going to leave if we had a chance to win, and we did until the end. Unfortunately, we didn;t win. Play calling sucked, but hopefully with more work eventually our offensive line will work together better, and Feeley get familiar with the recievers, and Gordan (or Jordan!) will get more comfortable and have some holes. We will get better, but it better be sooner than later, or it will be too late to save this season. Take care, and it is a pleasure (usually) reading what other fans on this message board have to say...but way too much negativity...stay positive until we at least lose four or five before midseason..then all hope will be gone...let's hope we don't have to endure it...
