He's paying the most overhead in the NFL because we have the most coaches. What is he getting for his outlay ? 1-3 and no chance of making some extra money with playoff games.

What does Saban tell him.

Does Wayne even care? He wouldnt pay a couple extra million for Brees and look what happens.

Wayne didn't make the decision to not sign Brees. That was Saban's decision. And it's not looking like the right one.

I'm sure W.H. is very disappointed to say the least. We have the highest paid coaching staff in the league and we look like hell.

Not to mention the 250 mil in stadium renovations,,,oh yeah,,,the 10 mil on the practice bubble that is just paying huge dividends right now,,,,I'm sure Wayne is just a little po'd right now

He's thinking life is good because he has two Super Bowls coming up.

Seriously, WH does not seem to be a win at all costs owner. He's pretty hands off and willing to trust the process. That sucked when it was clear the process was broken with Wanny, but it's going to work out fine this time around. This year is shot, but I imagine that Nick is in the midst of diagnosing the problem and creating a strategy to fix it next year. Hopefully, he'll get a little more help with the draft next year at minimum and it will all come together. What's so frustrating is that Miami has been out of contention for so long now and that it has always been about being just a couple elements short. I almost think being a fan of a team like the Raiders would be easier. Did anybody have hopes for them this year?

We need to have ALL our draft picks next yr and we have to make them count with our ageing Defense.

I think it's already too late on the first count.

Nick needs to move around in the draft. I cannot believe that he has failed to make a single draft day trade in two years (Surtain was a day or two before the draft, right?). With a little planning and working of the phones, Miami will probably be in a great place to move down a couple of times and pick up selections that could be helpful in building this team.

I agree....Saban has to held accountable for this mess.

We're already down one -- the 2nd round pick went to Minnesota for C-Pep

That was a 2006 pick.

We are down the pick to Detroit for Harrington, though.
