Rapport states that Joe is "safe" at this point anyways.

Ross does not want to fire Philbin unless he "has to".

Most interesting to me is that IF Philbin is axed that Harbaugh is not on the radar supposedly.

Joe Philbin's win last night I think ultimately brings him back for another season. I have no issue returning the coaching staff and Dennis Hickey if this team wins 9 games or more. 7 wins? No way. 8 wins…not sure.

Thought I would pass this along.

Playoffs or bust for Philbin. It is that simple. If you cannot beat Balt, Min, and NYJ at home, he is gone. No more excuses.

That may be how you feel, but I doubt that's how Ross feels.

Whether you want to admit it or not, there has been improvement this year.

:sidelol:

I think that Mr. Ross doth protest too much.

He's doing it right this time, so I'll give him credit. Keep your mouth shut, support your coach, do your best to squash the rumors, and then if you make a change, you just do it.

This story was first reported almost THREE weeks ago.

As long as the Dolphins have a chance not only at a winning record but making the playoffs, it would be unwise for the Dolphins to express interest in another team's head coach. I think Ross and everyone else in the organization have learned their lesson in regards to pursuing a head coach before the present one is fired.

This does not mean that if the team collapses like it did last season that they will not pursue Harbaugh, it just means that right now (or when this article was written) there is no interest in Jim coming to Miami.

I think we'll go on to win 10 or 11 but even at 9-7 he stays. It's that simple. It's not playoffs or bust.

Harbaugh will be in Oakland. The Harbaugh to Miami dream was ended a few weeks back

Why would he go to Oakland? What a dead end job esp. when he has the pick of jobs in the NFL and college.

I do not want to hear that is just that his wife likes the bay area. She will hate it three years into that Oakland gig. Plus, they might want to move to LA.

I don't think counting wins is necessarily the way to make a decision. Now if if he finishes 0-4 thethemainder of the way, then u have to take into consideration his ability to motivate ..... Then make a move

Nope. There is too much talent on this team for it to miss out on the playoffs for the third straight year under Philbin. A one game improvement each year is not good enough. Good luck selling that to the fans, especially season ticket holders.

All I know is that we really need to keep Lazor and Benton. Some positional coaches on D too...

Is Zac Taylor still the "QB coach"? So glad Lazor has taken over in that role

They have a up and coming QB
They have lots of cap space.
He doesn't have to move and can stay in the same house he has lived in since Stanford.

I think Ross would rather have Harbaugh in Michigan rather than in Miami. I said before, and baring a complete implosion Philbin is already safe.

If all of that talent was healthy and playing, I might agree with you.
