I would love for the FO to bring in L.Neal and compete with Polite. L.Neal always leads to a great Run game, he's an absolute beast that does the dirty work to help Brown and Williams.

He's not just someone else's garbage, he's a proven commodity to help what we really want which is a power run game.

1997 A.Murrell - 1086
1998 W.Dunn - 1026
1999 E.George - 1304
2000 E.George - 1509
2001 C.Dillion - 1315
2002 C.Dillion - 1311
2003 L.Tomlinson - 1645
2004 L.Tomlinson - 1335

Every team he's played for has had an excellent run game and he's a big help to that. This would be a great move by our FO, I really hope they consider it.

Wholeheartedly agree, some vets actually bring something to a team. He would be one of them.

While I agree overall with bringing in Neal, you have to consider that he'd be a one-year stop gap when this regime is trying to build for now as well as the future. We saw this with receivers as they refused to bring in old vets who could have helped right now quite a bit. Also, if he's injury-prone in his old age, then what? FB is a position that you only carry one of on the roster, and unless you have a FB on your practice squad, you're sort of in trouble if he goes down (obviously Polite is PS-ineligible). I don't know whether Neal is injury-prone or not, just saying it's something to consider.

well boys I would love to see Sage run for president of the United States , the dolphin cheerleaders go topless and dolphin fans cheering good ole acefin as I arrive in miami . unfortunately none of those thaings are going to happen. I would like to see miami bring in another dt and another olineman .

OK lets all sing " we are family " and have a cold beer

Sorry did you think this was a trade for Boldin thread, well it's not. It's a proven vet that will impact the team right away and probably for reasonable cheap to boot too.

dude chill out.

I am all for bring in Neal in so dont get into a tizzy.:pop:

too old, too risky & Polite was money on short yardage. teach him how to block better.
I would hope Brown could be money on short yardage, especially when he plays at FB... Polite can't block, and Neal is one of the, if not the best blocking FB in the league, and of all time. He was pretty good last year, and I don't believe that has changed.

It might not be a good idea if you look at history. Over the last five years, we've signed two fullbacks who at one time were among the best at their positions (Cory Schlesenger and Fred Beasley), but were getting up there in years. Neither of them made it through the final cuts. With the exception of a dark horse like Polite was, Miami seems to be a place where FA fullbacks come to die.

If the Raiders cut him that sends a signal to me that he might be washed up...Just saying that's all
