With the Niners drafting Carlos Hyde, is Marcus Lattimore available?

If so & ML is 100% healthy, is a 5th round pick would be adequate compensation?

I do not know of we will use a powerback. I am kinda interested in how much of Lazors offense will look like the Eagles. In which case I think you would see more speed. I am thinking Thomas and Thigpen are going to get the boot.

Plus I think the niners will probably trade James there with Brown being traded to the Bills from Philly.

Lattimore was a great back before his injury. I seriously doubt San Fran would trade him IF he was progressing well enough to play. Frankly I saw them using a high pick on Carlos Hyde a sign that Lattimore wasnt progressing as planned.

I think Hyde was drafted to replace Gore at the end of the year. I think this will be his last year in San Fran.

I am thinking this team is not going the route of a traditional power back. Why you people keep clamoring for one, IDK. But when this FO and CS had a chance to bring one in, they have passed. Maybe you people should do the same?

San Fran is loaded in the backfield and all of their backs with the exception of James possess some power. I would just wait to see who they cut rather than trade them a pick.

Frank Gore
Kendall Hunter
LaMichael James
Marcus Lattimore
Carlos Hyde
Jewel Hampton

Most they keep is 4. Gore, Hunter and Dixon were the top 3 backs for them last year and Dixon is now in Buffalo. James was used as a situational player and might be the odd man out but he's also the only guy in that backfield with his unique skill set so maybe he stays. That leaves the last spot to be between Lattimore and Hyde...Unless they let Gore or Hunter go which if it's Gore he won't be out of work long and Hunter was a solid backup to Gore.

I'm not going to be surprised at all if Gore gets cut. They will wait and see how Lattimore looks though

The Hyde pick had nothing to do with lattimore, it had everything to do with taking a guy with too much value where he was picked. Good teams pick guys based on their value and don't worry to much about need. If you draft strictly on need you'll be back at square one drafting for another position
