Not really a debbie downer on our fins or anything, but that article on the front page with sparano still searching for an identity for this team makes me scream ARE YOU ****ING SERIOUS?!? Year 4 and we still have no idea what we are all about? I don't get this organization anymore, every move is so confusing and it only leads to months of fans speaking the truth and then the next offseason is when the staff realizes the very weaknesses they created. I would be pissed playing for this regime, nothing makes sense.
 
There's no identity issue if you ask me. We've gone from a team trying to run to a team passing it. Will they be able to win passing it more than running it? Time will tell but you can't blame them for trying a change since they were NOT winning anything by running the football and using the wildcat.Might as well try something new.

When we started the season with an o line that has not played together all preseason I thought we had problems but the defense took the cake. We need better coaching. We have no identity because our head coach has no identity. His run first mentality the last couple of seasons didnt work with a line that could not run block. This season we are a passing team and the line looks half decent. Now if we could pull the defense head out of their *** we can win some games.

having an identity problem is not knowing what you want to do.......they know what they want to do. Now the question is can they do it?.....hard to tell after only one game. I'm sure they still want to run it to a point but they want chunck yards and most of the time they come from the passing game. They did that well on monday(4 plays of 25 yards or more) but they need to be able to run it in from 1 yard out. But for sure they want to pass the ball and they want to go down field. This is an attack offence now. There's no debating that as even the players said that's the new offence. The writer is just trying to make up a story......could they run it the other night? No. But is that an identity issue? Again the answer is no.

When they say identity i think they mean the defense only, the offense has created an identity for themselves, they are going to score points. Now, the defense side of the ball is another thing, there is no identity, we dont know if they are going to completely suck or if they are going to dominate. If you base your opinion based on the patriots game, its safe to say, our defense stinks on ice and has no identity.
 
heres some advice, stop putting stock in what writers write. they just play negative for the wolfpack.

if miami wins today greg cote will write how we did it with no identity.
 
So a run first team is finally opening up the offense and we are still complaining...........get real people.

It's not a secret that the most recent Dolphins identity was the Parcells model and Sparano was drinking too much Parcells kool-aide. Parcells set the tone and picked the coaches. Sparano wasn't in charge.

Parcells is gone and Sparano woke the f*** up.

Anybody remember Bill Belichick, Cleveland Browns Coach, 1991 - 1995, 36W 44L ?

It wasn't until Belichicks 7th year as a head coach (2nd year with NE) that he finally won a superbowl. It's also debatable on how much success NE would have continued to have if it wasn't for Brady.

Sparano is starting year 4 and has a winning record, not an impressive winning record but it's better than what Belichick accomplished when he started.

Everyone on this forum would give their right nut for Belichick as Head Coach but would they have given him 7 years of losing records to get his **** together?
 
There were lots of reasons we lost the game Monday night...not having an 'identity' wasn't one of them.
 
The real biggest identity problem Sparano has is realizing the importance of a athletic TE and how to stop them!
