As much as I hate to start over at the QB position (again), I would reluctantly have to say yes. After watching his play for nearly four seasons, there are just way too many flaws in his game. Watching his performance against the worst pass defense in the league today sealed it for me. It is no longer a question, can Tannehill win you a SB? The more appropriate question is can he even get you into the playoffs? I do am dubious of that, hence I would make the trade if offered. The only caveat being, I do not have faith in the FO in making the pick. Ah, the life a Dolphins fan. :rolleyes2:

I guess it depends on which team. But for the most part no.
Trading that pick doesnt make our defense or offense magically good.

As I ask over and over again, who are you planning to replace him with?

I need names, not "a franchise QB" like I see over and over again.

Who you gonna get?

If it's a top 3 pick in draft yes. But he wouldn't fetch that. I don't think I'd do it for a late rounder.

did jeff ireland get a GM job im not aware of?

Depends on the pick. You would have to replace him with someone better, so it depends on the pick and who we thought was better that was available.

Probably. It would give us the ammunition to move up and select the top QB this year.

Tom Brady !!!

We have as much chance of getting Brady, as we have of getting a 1st round pick for this stiff.

Yes. This team will have a different QB soon and he eventually may be gone for as little as a 4th if not outright cut. Who you replace him with isn't the question. Tannehill has shown this year what his critics have known for a long time, that despite ability to put up passable stats that were aided by a QB friendly offense in addition to a team stubbornly putting the ball in his hands an inordinate amount of time, he is among the bottom of starting QB's in this league. You take a first rounder for that type of QB no question because you are not likely to win with him unless you have a top 5 supporting cast.

If the pick puts us in position to draft a qb that the new staff believes is better than tannehill you make the move. You can't trade the guy and replace him with a journeyman qb.

First I would pinch myself to make sure I was not dreaming. Then I would call someone to check and see if I were actually still alive and not dead and gone to heaven. If everything checks out, then HELL YES I would take that deal.
