Stop all the nonsense about giving up too much blah, blah, blah! This is a guy you build your team around, a playmaker, a relatively young proven wide receiver; something we clearly have been lacking for a loooong time. Our QB situation is working itself out, our RB's are more than adequate, our O-Line is young and building but our wideouts are a glaring weakness (no offense Mr. Camarillo)!! Stop with all of the talk about drafting a wide receiver to groom for the future! We can find a gem in the later rounds, I'm sure with Mr. Parcells calling the shots in the war-room. Let's face it the draft is more hit or miss and what we don't need is another project, right Mr. Ginn? Anquan has stated he would love to play in South Florida, the Cards are entertaining offers, so go make it happen!! I don't care if this team is ready to win now or not, Mr. Boldin has well more than a couple of tremendous years left in him. Thank you for listening to my non-professional opinion..... :woot:

What's the compensation then?

They want a 1st and a 3rd. I say let's do it. We can get 2 defensive players in the 2nd and whoever we pick in the later rounds and we get ANQUAN FRIGGIN' BOLDIN!!!

Thank you. Some people here have no clue, are quick to bash and are under the impression that the Cards want a Ricky Williams type Draft (the entire draft for those newbees). A first and a third and we need to be able to sign him to a long term deal. C'mon it's not brain surgery, it would go a long way to building a viable offensive threat for many years to come in a tremendously tough division. The team could then focus on the other side of the ball and address the other glaring needs over there through the draft.

Its a good thing we have a front office that doesnt always go with what they want like you and instead sits and weighs the pros and cons of every decision. TRUST ME EVERY SINGLE ONE OF US ON THIS FORUM KNOW THERE ARE PLENTY OF YOU THAT WANT BOLDEN. The funny thing is, most of you cant even back up your statesments fully as to why its a good deal. Obviously he is proven but does is he gunna be equally as good in 3-4 years when we will be true SB contenders? Probably not. Is he worth giving up 2 picks that could solidify our defense or lines for years to come? Probably not. Is he one of the best recievers in the NFL? Yes. What is more important in building championship teams defense or offense? OFFENSE. Is he gunna be worth the money / contract that we will have to give him? IDTS!! Its questions like this that seperate most of you Boldin fans from people who actually use rational thinking like Parcels and Co for example. You must weigh all pros and cons before deciding.

Call BP and tell him he has no clue. He seems to want to keep the picks.

for those who dont like us getting a playmaker please move on to another thread so some of us can enjoy talking about a having a playmaker .

I for one beleives there is more then one way to build a team or add players . this draft really sucks and the linebackers and cornbacks are all average including the top 5 linebackers.

the afc east rivial all have satar wrs while the fins have average wrs and that wont win many games.

I dont think we have to give up the Farm for Boldin nor should we .

why not compromise on this . why not
draft 3 dt's and a de and just bring back surtain for two years until we can find his replacement .

think about this
Boldin ginn on one side of the field and Fasano , Bess on the other side and Patrick cobbs in a single back set then the next down use Cobbs and Ronnie with a two te set and Camarillo lined up on the edge.

what makes this thread any different than the other 836 threads on this topic?

The Cards want a #1 and a #3. Thats a lot. What's the farm to you?

I know it's usually not wise to give up a 1st and a 3rd especially for a WR. But I think Acefin is right, this year's draft isn't too great and all we can get is a few average defensive players and an unproven WR. Or we can get 2 defensive players and ANQUAN FRIGGIN' BOLDIN.

A 2nd, 5th and London would be more than fair for a 29yo player who wants to break the $bank, will have a noodle arm throwing at him and well might have a chronic hip condition!
