With rumors spreading that Booker could be shipped to the Chiefs, it leaves me wondering what will be left of our receiving corps. Chambers is likely still the #1, but if Welker and Booker are gone, all we have left is Hagan and Az-Zahir Hakim. They're essentially the only players w/ some kind of experience. So, this brings us to the draft.

I am assuming we're taking an OL (if Quinn is unavailable) with our 1st, and if Quinn isn't there in the 1st, with our first 2nd, we will likely take a QB. By the time our second 2nd rounder swings around, many of the top talent rookie WR will be gone by then (Jarrett, Bowe, S. Smith, etc). We'd almost certainly have to try and pick up a young WR talent. What do you guys see as the solution?

Well I like Jason Hill and Sidney Rice . Davis could be there as well as a few others..

This is a very deep draft for wide receiver.. I also like that Mike guy in later rounds.. Or Walker.. There are tons of good wr's in this draft

Kelly Campbell also has experience and when he's not injured or getting suspended, he's a pretty good WR.

If those talented WRs are gone, there is also Craig Davis, Jason Hill, Johnnie Lee Higgins and Mike Walker who could be drafted later.

I really don't understand the unloading of wes and booker. Although we got great value for wes, and its hard to argue that, although I still wish he was a phin. I thought he was greats for what he was, a 3rd reciever you could rely on. As for booker, hes a playmaker and makes catches. Hes done well for us. Chambers is supposed to be our deep threat....... if he was ever that guy, that combo would have worked well. Why didn't we just trade chambers? Could we not get what we got for wes in that deal or more? Wow, I got all bitter thinking about chambers dropsies.

He couldn't be relied upon later in the year when teams started figuring him out.. We are better off without him and with the picks ..

Booker falls down way too much, is not exceptionally fast, and is getting old .. We can do better than him, that's for sure...

If Booker was so good as you imply, teams would be lining up offering Miami 1st round picks or something of value for him.. Wouldn't you think ? As far as Welker, Miami hoodwinked Bill Belichick Bigtime ..

If I had to make a guess, I'd say one of our 7th rounders would be traded to the Lions for Mike Williams, who they've been wanting to trade before the draft, and we'd up the importance of drafting a solid prospect on day 1. There's a chance that Sidney Rice, Dwayne Jarrett or Robert Meachem fall to the 40th pick, or if we can't get Quinn, Ginn is a first-round option.

Whether Booker stays or goes . . . we will draft AT least 1 receiver in this draft . . . my guess would be one first day and one second day.

What does this have to do with drafting a wr?

Chambers' salary almost prevent a trade from happening. It is highly unlikely that any team would be willing to take on his $7+ million salary.

Booker and Welker was good in the Mike Mularkey No Direction Offense and Chambers played well in the Norv Turner/Scott Linehan type of offense.

thanks we are going to need all the luck we can get because some of my fellow dolphin fans ar efogeting that our divisional rivials could jump in front of us and screw us up in the draft so we need to make sure we get some offensive firepower.

rd 1 patrick willis
rd 2 wr jarrett or rice
rd2 b ot ryan harris
rd3 rb pittman
rd 4 qb troy smith
rd 6 og hilliard
rd 6b wr woods
rd 6c cb marcus hamilton
rd7 rb selvin young
rd 7b qb zach taylor
rd 7c a punter
this is what would impress me and sorry guys but troy smith is more then capable of being a starting qb and on wanny and speilmans good names i promise you this draft would really be far out man.

Especially if we draft Quinn.... even more reason to keep Booker....he's one of our best players!!! I just don't get it... forget Green until he is released from KC....

Well the main reason Booker is trade bait is, as stated in the article on the front page, we can cut around 3 million dollars right off the salary cap and avoid paying a $600, 000 bonus to him, so it makes sense to trade him away if we can, especially at his age. Plus, i think we really wanna get Trent Green so that we can free up Culpepper, possibly to the Raiders and pick up more draft choices.

I still don't see us taking Ted Ginn before Levi Brown. Offensive Line is an issue I want filled before even considering the WR. If this WR class is as deep as some ppl are saying, then i definitely see our picks panning out this way:

1st Rd: Levi Brown, OT
2nd Rd (a): Beck, Stanton, Edwards, Generic 2nd Tier QB
2nd Rd (b): Young WR w/ talent

As opposed to a young WR without talent??
