In a Walter Football poll asking six NFL teams whether Alabama T Cam Robinson will slide into the late first-round, three said yes and three said no.

The three that answered in the affirmative are concerned that Robinson's "inconsistencies from his junior season could cause him to slide." They were also concerned that Robinson could slide due to off-the-field concerns, namely a gun arrest roughly a year ago (the charges were eventually dropped).

The 6-foot-6, 327-pound Robinson is rated the top offensive tackle for the 2017 draft and the 14th overall prospect by NFLDraftScout.com. He has been a dominating anchor on the Crimson Tide offensive line in his three college seasons and won the Outland Trophy this season as the nation's top interior lineman. Humphrey, a third-year sophomore, is bypassing his final two seasons of eligibility.
Pick him n put in guard spot ?

It's definitely a cheaper option than picking up a Zeitler in free agency, but I would hope that we won't have the need at guard come the draft. Draft the best defensive player available and move on.

First of all, I don't think he falls all the way to 22nd pick.
Then if it does, you trade down to a team that really wants a top OT and get a kings ransom in picks.
Then you go defense, defense, defense with the extra picks

He'd be tough to pass up, but this week should confirm DE's and LB's in his range, and that's clearly the greater need.

Draft a tackle to play guard? Or are you trying to replace James at RT with him? Either way I can't see it

I think it depends on who else is available, but I do think Robinson would make a great LG.

Miami's needs at defense are so glaring, though, that it's hard to imagine the team taking Robinson, Lamp or Feeney in round 1. Barnett is someone who, for whatever reason, keeps being mocked around #22 and would seem like a no brainer. Reddick is another player who would be hard to pass up and I think the Dolphins will have a couple of really good defensive backs staring them in the face as well. Should be interesting.

Dominant at times but makes brain fart mistakes. Reminds me a lot of Greg Robinson ... who it hasn't clicked for yet. Plus there's the whole trunk full of guns thing that he inexplicably got off on. And we have much bigger needs. While tempting, I'd pass.

We already have red zone issues, watching bama games it seemed like Robinson would commit a false start every time we got into scoring territory. I'd have to pass, rather have oj Howard or Ryan Anderson if we're going bama first round

Doubtful he makes it to 22. I don't a see blue chip HOF guy, so I'd do the wheeler dealer and collect a boatload of picks.

If he suddenly turns into a blue chipper then yea I'd take him.

He'd be similar to what Tunsil was - except he's probably a more natural OG fit than Tunsil was (though Tunsil was/is a much better OT prospect). He can move people off the ball, and he can get out in space. His ability to kick out and play OT at a high level just increases his value. I saw that Mayock listed him as an OG, and I disagree with that. He can play either OT spot, and that's where he holds the most value, but for a team like Miami, he should be a stud OG. Should go top-10. I don't know how the character will check out, but I don't think the Combine will hurt him, so I see character red flags as the only way he drops. Not many teams are set at OT, and his kick-slide is way quicker and smoother than the credit it receives.

ive got 4 days to scope some oline but I think Miami is more in the guard pivot market at 22 if anything and provided I see it on tape that's forrest lamp

The Dolphins view Robinson as a guard. But to spend our 1st round pick on a guard would really be stupid especially when we have such huge holes on defense.
