capers will not be shown up like that. if we hire an assistant, and its not capers, hes out.

you dont need a link, thats how it always goes. Even Jim Bates got mad and left.

No link, he's just speculating.

Personally I think an OC like Cameron getting the job makes it more likely that Capers stays. He'll have more autonomy if we hire someone who's specialty is offense.

You could be correct. Sometimes it just happens that way when there is a head coaching change, and one candidate is overlooked for another outsider. If Capers is passed over for someone like Cameron, there is the possibility he may choose to leave us. I wouldn't doubt it happening either....

PHINZ RULE!!!!

Perhaps, if Capers sees himself as a legitimate candidate. I don't however. As far as I'm concerned 2 failed HC gigs have relegated him to coordinator status permanently.

After what happened in Houston.. Capers is not that proud and doesnt have that kind of leverage. He should stay here and continue to do good work. Or he can go.. it wouldnt be the end of the world.

I'm not sure about that, but there are only a limited number of head coaching availabilities right now anyway, so if he doesn't get a head coaching job he still might be inclined to stay with the salary they're paying him.

If Cameron is hired by Wayne & I hope he is. I hope Cam & Dom would sit and talk before any hasty decisions are made... like hiring Nick.

It appears the phins are leaving no stone unturned. I'll pass on Ron Tuner. I'd rather have Jim Fassel. (Vikes DC) Tomlin would probably install that damn Tampa cover 2 to which I say...next.

I like Chan Gailey but no more from the Jimmy Johnson coaching tree or the Parcells/Belichick tree either. I am also opposed to any one who wants to install the West coast offense in South Beach. Talk about disaster for Joey & Daunte waiting to happen.

i agree. Hes not gonna gain more interest then anybody already making the interviews. The only place that would show interest is the steelers and their almost gauranteed to hiure one of their own. Hes probably gonna end up staying just because he'll have no where else to go.

god i hope we dont get tomlin from minnesota.... we saw how good their pass d was this year with that tampa 2 .... theyr pass d was ranked LAST......plus i dont really like any vikings coach... for no reason lol just never been a fan of the vikings

Bing Bing Bing Bing....he's right George...tell him what he has won....

What makes you think WH will hire Cam Cameron. What in the heck has he done. He runs a conservative offense that was in trouble after the baltimore loss. He was told by SD management to open up the offense. please people believe me he isnt the guy we want. He hasnt consistently put up good offensive numbers. If you want a guy that has some serious numbers look no further than Tom Moore from Indy. When this guy was with Detroit back in the 90's they had a consistently ranked in the top five.

Tom Moore joined Detroit as quarterbacks coach in 1994 and was offensive coordinator from 1995-96. During that three-year span, Barry Sanders ran for nearly 5,000 yards (5.2 average). In 1995, Detroit led the NFL in total offense (6,113 yards, 382.1 ypg.) and became the first NFL team to have two receivers post 100+ receptions (Herman Moore, 123-1,686, 14 TDs; Brett Perriman, 108-1,488, 9 TDs). The 3,174 combined yards by Moore and Perriman set the NFL seasonal tandem yardage record.

I know some of you might say well he had sanders, well thats true but he didnt have a real good qb and they still got all those yards in the air with sanders running. I dont know about you but dont you see the one thing that Moore does well and thats runs a good efficient offense and spreads everyone out. He ran the same offense in detroit and the same offense in indy.

This is the guy we need if you want a offensive minded coach.
