If Culpepper was 100% healthy what would our record be? I'd say 2-2. Because either way the line is still horrible. But at least he would be able to get out of the pocket easier.

it woulld be 3-1 but the playcalling is just horrible

Culpepper was 100% healthy last year, and threw 12 interceptions to 6 touchdowns with 5 fumbles over less than 7 games. And the team went 2-5. This made him the 28th ranked quarterback in the NFL in 2005. As soon as he got injured the team started a six game winning streak.

Without an O-line it doesn't matter if you have Peyton Manning back there....nobody can do it by themselves...nobody!!

You're right on df23. I wish people would stop blaming the O line. They are better then last years O-line, but many people look at the sack numbers to define them. Most of the sacks are the QB's fault because he doesn't get rid of the ball. He has had plenty of time back there...more then Danny ever had...he just doesn't get rid of the ball. He looks lost and confused.

I will admit SOME of it is DC not getting rid of it....but, our line absolutely sucks. He has guys in his face almost every play. Damien was a freaking revolving door/penalty machine yesterday.

Exactly. Him being 100% might equate to one more win but it wouldnt hide the fact that he's horrible right now. It has nothing to do with him being injured but rather he is lost and confused and taking far too long to make a decision. Hopefully its just mental rust from being out of the game and new to a system because if he's this slow our QB search is ongoing

If he cant find his second or third option it doesnt matter if he is healthy. If his first option isnt there he should run the ball every time. its the only thing he is good for.

But his leg injury has stopped that aspect of his game. IMO that is what made him a threat. That's gone now.

It doesnt matter if Culpepper was 100%, our whole team stinks. They never make big plays when they have to.

The only two systems I see Daunte (possibly) being effective in is 1) a straight shotgun system where he gets an extra two seconds to scan the field or 2) one where we become a straight running team with periodic play action limiting Daunte to under 25 passes a game, preferably under 20.

Maybe next year Daunte gets the mental part but his progress this season is so insignificant that I dont see him improving much from week 4 to week 16

He's definately not healthy,i watched a lot of different quarterbacks yesterday and payed close attention to their mechanics, daute has some serious problems, he's 6'5 but plays 6 foot, he's very flat footed with no bounce on his toes at all, also has a very low release point.

Come on Daunte get on your toes, bounce a little bit, then fire the rock man
