If Henne and our secondary all played in NEW YORK...

If Revis did not play for the Jets, no one would be on here trying to rationalize him being overrated.

Guy is the best in the game and its not close.

His stats may show it but thats because QBs dont even look at who Nhamdi is covering. Next time you watch a Raiders game, watch Nhamdi play.

The Jets have done a nice job building their defense....I just don't know what guys like LT, JT and some other former big names are going to add to the team. I still like our offense over the Jet's offense especially with Marshall. We can still run on the Jets so let them sign up every CB and Safety in the draft.

Sanchez was about as responsible for their success as the waterboy....but I'm guessing the waterboy did less to harm them during the year.

Sanchez was bad. one of the worst starting QB in the league last year.

12 TD and 20 INt is not a decent year by any standard.

worse yet for the 'Sanchize' (yuk!) is his 4th qtr/OT numbers:

1 TD, 10 INT, 49%, 39.7 QB rating.

he wasn't asked to win games for them often, but when he was....pathetic....even for a rookie.

can he improve? sure. the Jests better hope he does a lot.

He had 4 awful games, the #s are skewed.

4 awful games(NO, at NE, Buf, Atl):
50-109, 619 yds, 2 TDs, 15 INTs, 30.5 rating

14 other games(including 3 playoff games):
187-323, 2364 yds, 14 TDs, 7 INT, 86.2 rating

78% of his games his ROOKIE year he was good.

he also played his best football in postseason under the bright lights. I wish you watched him play instead of just looking at a stat sheet.

I never did say he gave himself that nickname or that he complained. But he is overhyped by the media because they give him the cute name but not Nhamdi.

The media didn't give him the name, it started w/ the fans and spread.

Revis is NOT overrated. He is the best CB in football. Sanchez is WAY OVERRATED.
um no he inst the best corner. have you heard of a guy named asumugha? he my friend is the best corner in the game no question.

ok revis shut every one down except GINN (in the first game)!!! so that makes him #2 behind asumugha.

wow. after looking up the numbers....this is the understatement of the year!!

according the numbers on profootballfocus.com for last season...looking at CB's who played 800+ plays last season, the avg CB got thrown at approx once every 12 snaps.

for a little more perspective the 2nd, 3rd and 4th lowest in the league got thrown at once per 14.59, 14.56 and 14.24 snaps

Nnamdi Asomugha was 1st

he was thrown at once every 35 snaps!!!!! 28 times in 980 defensive snaps.

for comparison against the other top corners mentioned,

Revis was thrown at once every 9 snaps

Woodson once every 13 snaps.

not saying that this stat is the end-all as far as arguing corners goes....but anyone who wants to argue that teams didn't avoid NA, is fighting a losing battle.

If that's the case why are the #s significantly better for who Asomuagh was covering last year vs. the guys who Revis was covering? You think QBs are targeting Revis?

Doesn't that make waht revis did even more impressive? seeing more passes and the WRs he's covering are catching less balls for less yards and less TDs.

no bc asumugha is still better man. revis is number two mabey this year he will change my mind but asumugha is the best in the game period!!!!!

No its not more impressive. They throw Revis's way because there might be a chance the receiver catches the ball. They dont even throw towards Nhamdi because they already know the receiver wont catch it.

and asumugha didnt let ted ginn burn him for a 50 yarder
