Assuming he declares and Saban stays, will Russell be our guy? Saban recruited him, so he must like what he brings to the table..

I think it will be a no brainer for Saban if he declares.

:confused2 who knows.... i really wouldnt be that disapointed with the pick, but if we dont sign Asante Samuel in Free Agency then i would really like Leon Hall (CB, Michigan).

or Clements.

Russell is not a first round pick. If he falls to us in the 3rd round, maybe.

Brown4200: Clements is too expensive, i think Samuel would be cheaper.

Dmancari23: Russel WILL be a first round pick, probably top 20.

IluvJuMiami: Russel is a QB from LSU.

Sry about that i dont know how to multi qoute yet.

You have to spend the big money to get the big time free agents and Clements is a better corner then Samuel but I will still be very happy if Miami can sign Samuel. I don't know how to multi quote either.

No arguments there, Clements IS the better corner.... just more expensive.

i'm no expert but i have watched a good portion of lsu games being a fan of the school. and russell might have a nfl arm but has almost no mobility and makes some questionable decisions when the games on the line. it would be like having a poor mans daunte culpepper. sometimes he throws it too hard when he needs to throw soft and sometimes he throws it two soft when he needs to throw hard. experts drool over this guy because he is a physical specimen but i can't see him being anything special in the nfl.

we'll probably go another year without drafting a qb...at some point we have to draft one & this is the year to do it.

I want Rusell. He's My #1 guy in this years draft. By the time the combine comes and goes, he might be the #1 QB because his measurements far surpass quinns.
