Since I live out here in San Diego I get to see this team a lot. And let me tell you they are beatable. If you get in Phillip's face you can shake him up easy. The Chargers have a weak secondary and average defense. Preassure it the key.

im with you man.. and not to mention Lt is only a shadow of his former self, even tho he is playin well he is not up to his normal form.. plus they have looked shaky in all of there games up to this point.. and their win against oak today was nothing special and i think oak is only of the top 5 worst teams in the league

Anything can happen at the pro level but our receivers are not good enough to exploit a perceived weakness in the chargers secondary. Problem is our secondary is weak and they have the receivers to exploit ours.

As for rivers thats basically true of almost any Qb but so far overall he has been pretty damn good.

I agree on your opinion of their defense. Without Merriman they look lost. I believe Miami will take this one if they can get up on them early and get Ronnie about 60 % of the offenses workload.

I feel ya brother, rivers can't throw off balance, on the run, or with pressure in his face, his delivery alone gives us a good chance if we get good pressure. It is thee key to the game. Their soft and were hungry.

The problem with this theory is that so far no team has ran all over them. The key to playing Sd so far is to exploit them with the pass. They held one of the best running teams in the league to 72 yards which is about half of their average on the year. Oakland was 5th going into this game and 6th last year in rushing.

Hmm another overreaction off of one game. Do you think Pennington would react better. I guess River's other games dont count and dont forget for all that pressure he still was a big part of the comeback victory.
This is a much improved Raider team that pushed a very good Buffalo team to the edge last week.

I disagree somewhat with your post. Pennington has the best completion percentage in the NFL for seasoned passers, and in that time I'm sure he's seen his fair share of pressure and blitzes while maintaining a pretty decent completion percentage. Based on that statistic alone, I would say that Penny does fare better than Rivers in the face of pressure.

As for Buffalo, I think they are highly overrated. They have had to come from behind to win against two pretty sorry teams twice in a row now. The only team worth much was the jags..

Hmm the Bills are overrated. They beatdown a Seahawks team. Beat a solid Jags team and came back on the road to beat the Rams. So they struggled with Oakland, so did San Diego. You do realize we lost to the Jets who have been less than stellar and the Jets rolled the team that beat the hell out of us. I dont disagree with penny's completion percentage but it does not speak to his ability to handle the rush at all.

Look my head isnt in the sand. We only won 2 games in the last 20. I get that but The chargers this year are luckier than they are good. I'll tell you something else. Watching Russel with the raiders yesterday man That dude is starting to look like an NFL quarterback. He needs seasoning but when you watch Phillips with his goofy throwing motion then check out Russel's rocket arm wow, what a difference.

Phillip Rivers is good for a few retarded plays a game. i totally hear you. Oh and duh about Russell, he went to LSU. :d-day:

They beat down a Seahawks team that has 1 win against the Rams, arguably the worst team in the NFL. They lost to the bills, and the 49ers and the 49ers aren't that great.

I never said that we were better than the Bills, and I never said that we would beat them, so don't get my post confused. I just don't think they are as good as their record indicates. The jags win was the only impressive win so far this season.

Just saying the Bills are the one team in our division that toughed out tough wins over bad teams. NE lost to us nuff said and we lost to the jets and Arizona. In the NFL any given sunday a team can beat another. Look how KC beat Denver but now does Denver suck. Buffalo has shown alot of heart and thats what makes a team a playoff team.

River is still a damn good qb , throwing motion regardless. Hmm maybe Russel is not the bust some on this board make him out to be.

You can't be a complete bust in the NFL with his arm and his athleticism. He may be dumb, and he is, but his frame and arm alone can make plays.
