If JT retires what are his cap numbers?

What kind of dead cap hit?
what about the prorated signing bonus?
How much will we save?

JT is signed thru 2009

2008 salary $ 7.5 mil
prorated bonus $ 2.02 mil
other bonuses $ 0.5 mil
Total 2008 cap hit $ 10.02 mil

If he retires will we only be responsible for the signing bonus?
How does this work?

I don't want him to retire, but if he does I want to know the info.

If he retires before June 1, the remaining pro-ration is accelerated onto this year's salary cap. After June 1, it goes onto our 2009 cap. The base salary comes off our cap immediately in either case.

I don't know if the "other" bonus is a roster bonus or an workout bonus -- what happens with that determines whether he meets the conditions to get it paid and if his contract includes enforceable clawback language. I know that teams can no longer go after signing bonuses once they've been paid, but I think they might be able to get back other types of bonuses?

So If I understand this corectly before june 1st will be about 10M - 4M = 6M free cap not counting other bonuses. After june 1st we save almost the whole 10M but take a 4M hit on next years cap. This is of course not counting any other bonuses.
