SHAME on Stephen Ross. I have no problem whatsoever going after Peyton Manning. However, as I stated in a post before free agency, the flirtation with Manning had to end shortly after FA began. http://www.finheaven.com/forums/showthread.php?315305-My-QB-Plan-in-the-Next-Week&highlight=
It became obvious over time that Manning was not coming to Miami. At that time the owner should have pivoted and let Joe Philbin get a QB that understood his system and could be an extension of the coach on the field in Matt Flynn.
Now, because of Ross' pipe dream, Flynn is in Seattle where their current GM is the guy who helped draft Flynn in Green Bay.
While it is unfortunate for Ross not to get Manning, if he loses Flynn to Seattle it will once again show his bumbling ways.
Once and for all, Ross must let Jeff Ireland and his football people make decisions. Allow the coach that he supposedly believes in get the QB he wants under center. Once Ross starts to not be seen AND heard, the franchise will be much better off.
