Like most of you, the day was pretty long waiting and waiting. I really hope Brees will sign with us but if not, it won't be that bad! This morning, I heard on ESPN that Vince Young was going to drop around the 7th spot. I was wondering if Young could not be the Aaron Rodgers of this year and be available for us. Plus, if we don't sign DB (hopefully we will), we will have a lot of money to spend elsewhere and Gus, despite not being a Pro Bowler, can do an okay job.

Saban is the man.

i think that if we dont sign drew brees we will imediately trade for culpepper or be obtained if he is cut....we have shown a lot of interest in culpepper and he looks to be our second option...i am expecting one of those 2 qbs (brees or culpepper) to be the starting qb next year

if we dont get Brees, I hope we can keep Gus, and then draft a QB like Jacobs and groom him under Gus for part of the season, then let him take over. I dont want us to trade for another teams back up. Why bring in a guy who cant even get the starting job on another team
 
If our quarterbacks are Gus and Vince Young next year, I will be very upset.
Lets do some quarterback math shall we?

Vince= Intellegence of a peice of celery.

Not only is Vince boarderline retarted, there is no way his style will work in the NFL. Relys too much on raw talent, not enough preperation, film study, or using his head in the pocket. I have never seen him check down, if his #1 guy is coverd, he runs. Won't cut it with the big boys.

I think i agree, that if no brees or culpeper, just keep Gus, and i see Charlie Whitehurst as a viable option in the 3rd round.....he's got a hell of an arm, and decent mobility.....i'm not worried....it;s all in the Karma..

yeah. maybe Whitehurst, Jacobs, or Olson. I could see them here
