If no Luck...

Justin Blackmon I like with a pick up of Carson Palmer or Matt Flynn.

This post helped me realize, that even if we don't get Luck, it's going to be exciting to see what happens next.

Between Free Agency (I have LOVED the idea of picking up Flynn since before this season) and the incredibly good QB class coming out, there are lots of opportunities out there.

Please keep in mind, the #1 pick can also handcuff a team as that spot, especially if its a QB is going to tie up quite a bit of cap space.

FOR THE RECORD: I do like the idea of Luck in Orange and Aqua. I have seen LOTS of the kid, and I do think he's the real-deal. I just can't stand the ridiculous idea of rooting against the Dolphins. Guess I despise spite on my own face

rookie salary cap?

The Dolphins will win at least 5-6 games! Which will take us out of both QB sweepstakes!

Rams have no talent outside of Steven Jackson. Bradford would do better if he had any receivers that can catch (I thought that guy would be Mike Sims Walker but he's been invisible, a lot like what happened to Ernest Wilford)

Any hopes of winnning that many games sunk with the loss of Henne. Not that Henne was lighting the world on fire but he played like he cared.

When, other than Bradford, has an OU QB done squat in the NFL?

Ditto:

Not counting bygone era QBs Frankie Albert, John Brodie and Jim Plunket, what contemporary Stanford QB aside from Elway (well sorta modern era) has "done squat" in the NFL (and don't say "Trent Edwards :) )

i think jones cause of his tools and the premium on qbs will likely go top 10...but i wouldn't take him any earlier than late round 1 and i'd be biting my lip when i did it...if i did it...

No way miami wins 5-6 games this year. This team has quit on its coaching staff. You saw it last game. They have no life. That and the fact their schedule is tough tells me they will most likely be drafting in the top 5. I hope they are the number 1 and get Luck but I like the idea of getting Jones as well.

I maintain that Kellen Moore is as good as any QB in the draft, and should be the second guy to go after Luck. NFL scouts and fans continue to be obsessed with physical tools, but QB is a mental position, not a physical one, and you only need to watch Moore to tell that he understands how to play the position as well as anyone. Also, he is unbelievably accurate and can make a whole range of throws. Everyone said that Pennington did not have the physical tools, but he is still the most efficient QB in NFL history (as well as the only QB to make Miami look decent in over a decade). Moore will be in a similar vein but with a better arm.

Of course, the great NFL will probably draft a bunch of great 'prospects' before him that can't actually play....

Kellen Moore and Griffin are second round qbs an after the run on QBs last year I'm not sure they go early in the 2nd.

Can someone post the strengths and weaknesses of L. Jones of OU? He seems accurate but how is his arm strength?
