If not Jason Berryman, why not Ben Ishola?

Right now, we are currently pursuing UDFA DE/LB Jason Berryman. If we do not sign Jason Berryman, I believe another UDFA DE/LB that is already signed could be actually a surprise. He's 6'3", weighs 248 pounds, has a 34" vertical, and runs a 4.50 in the 40 (4.12 in the shuttle ). He has a lot of potential.

Yeah Ishola has some pass rushing skills and the perfect measurables to be a Saban linebacker. But then again, he went undrafted. Makes you wonder why he was not drafted since he is a 6'3" 250 pound linebacker who runs a 4.5 in the 40.

In a minicamp article it said Ishola was understudying Jason Taylor and David Bowens. I remember that because I thought understudying was an odd word to use. If that's where he stays we will see what work he gets.

Jason Berryman had a private workout and was list as being 6'-1"/235lbs. He ran the 40 in 4.72 & 4.78, 4.48 short shuttle, 7.38 3 cone drill, 32" vertical jump, 9'11" broad jump, and 17 reps of 225 lbs. He served 258 days in jail for stealing another students property.
