I think 7-9 would have led to a housecleaning. Not to mention the embarrassment of blowing a game that way.
 
7-9… 8-8…. what's the difference? we will continue to be average with these clowns. 7-9 wouldn't get them fired either because we have a moron for an owner. he's more afraid of hurting feelings then getting the job done.

Great. We missed the ****ing playoffs in pathetic fashion again. In retrospect I wish we went 2-14 with 2 wins against the Jets. It didn't happen and now we have to deal with another year of these ****ing incompetent losers and the 20th overall pick (behind the jets LOL).
Its a complete joke.
 
I would be in psych ward if he scored.
 
That loss would have been totally worth getting Ireland fired.
 
If only we would have lost more games to draft Luck.
If only we would have lost sooner to get Sparano fired.
If only we would have lost the NE/steelers/Bengals game this year, our coaches would all be fired.

Let me know when its ok to root for my team to win.

Do you want to win meaningless games or do you want to win Championships? Sometimes short terms pains are beneficial. I would sure feel a lot better if we would have really sucked for luck, all those loses would be a distant memory and we would have a legit QB for the next decade to root for.
 
Not for nothing but 6 teams ended at 8 and 8 and we're drafting behind each of them of course so at 7 and 9 we'd have drafted12 or 13 instead of 19 but it still wouldn't matter with Ireland doing the drafting.

Who gives a **** about draft position? the patsies draft in the high 20s every year and do just fine. I'll NEVER root for my team to lose, just to improve something as trivial as draft position.

Pats aren't the greatest of drafters but they do know how to select players that properly fit the team concept and their coaching staff gets the most out of every player (usually). If we would've lost to the steelers i honestly doubt we would've beat the pats. Probably would've been more like 6-10.

I remember the 1-15 season and I was a lot more disappointed than this year. I like winning weeks...I'll take 8-8 over 1-15 any day. I would love to make the playoffs, but actually having the games at the end of the season mean something is worth it.
