Dolphins trade out of the first pick to the third pick for Atlanta's 3rd...and 37th and 48th. We all know that Atlanta will go for Ryan...they need a new face for the franchise.

Then the phone rings...hello Bill this is K.C. Can we talk? O.K. K.C. I'll give you the third pick for your 5th and 2nd..well Bill thats alittle high a price...yes it is...but if you want the best Tackle...and you need him...you have to pay the price. We get K.C.'s 5th pick and their 35th.

The Phone rings again...Hello Bill...I have to have McFadden...well Jerry he can be your's for the 22nd and 28th picks...and you'll get the best darn running back in the draft..and he'll be a hog...suuuueee.

Well lets see what Ol'Bill has acquired...the 22nd, the 28th our 32nd which is really the 31st...the 35th the 37th, the 48th and our 57th. Thats three first rounders...and four second rounders...and with the possibilty of trading back again...with the second rounders.

Now Bill...lets hope your a trading fool...so you can get the rebuilding under way.

I see the logic in your post...Which I believe is more realistic than what many would believe. I see that this draft will have a lot of reachers... similar to the draft when D. Winter for Buffalo came out. I say this because thought there is no one true #1 player, each team in the topic 10 have that one player they want....which bodes well for us b/c I see teams will two jump the other for it. It may not look like it today but it will come around draft time.

So I do see a ATL/Mia Trade (similar to the Eli/Rivers trade) they want him more than we do. Same as your proposed KC trade wanting a LT (similar to w. shields) in Long...especially if word gets our that STL would want him and/or the Jets.

So in all actuality we can't say a trade like this wont happen simple b/c in a league that is always based on performance, every one wants to get a jump on the other (ie Us vs Jets & NE & Buffalo)....KC over Oakland.... ATL or STL... so think about it. Note: Don't get me wrong some trades are dreams but like they say dreams can come true....LOL

The question is why would Atlanta trade up when they know Ryan will be sitting there at #3

But do they know that? Parcells has talked to Ryan...and don't believe for a minute that just because the Bears resigned Rex...for one year....that he's the main man and they aren't really interested in another QB. A one year contract is meaningless...and all he's going to get is 1.5 mil...so what do they have to lose?

This draft has no sure fire number one player in it...so the teams have to select the best player for themselves.

Will the trades happen...who knows....could they happen...youbetcha. In any event...it's just some fun to think about.

O.K. I'm marking my calendar. Seriously, I do hope something like that comes out of the draft. I would love for BP to drop two or three times in the draft.
 
I was going to do something like this whereby we ended up with every pick in this year's draft, but it was 340 pages long. Why? Because it's fun to dream.
