I started thinking today that once again Pennington is in the same position that he was in when the Jets drafted Clemens. The fans turned on him and everyone wanted the rookie to replace him. Now, my question to us Dolfans: If Pennington gets injured will we behave the same way the Jets did? We branded them as classless (which by all accounts they truly are), but we will be hypocritical and cheer if he goes down? I'm curious to hear some opinions about this because as much as I want to see Henne take the helm at some point, I would never cheer someone getting injured. But I also think it would foolish to think that some people may not cheer. How will we react? In case you forgot how the Jets fans acted, here's the clip:

I won't cheer for his injury but I will be glad that Henne is playing. The big question is whether or not the FO thinks that Henne should be the injury replacement when they clearly don't want him starting games this early.

NOT AGAIN!!!!!

I don't want to see Pennington get hurt, but I do want to see Henne get some more playing time. I believe he's the future of the Fins.

LOL this may be classless but I was glad to see crocker go down(hill or allen anyday over that clown). I wont cheer but i will be glad to see henne play.

Wheres that junc guy to defend the Jets? :o

If we use history as a indicator, then I would have to say yes there would be a large number of finfans who in fact would cheer. I think back to Jay Fielder who was a lot like Chad. True he won more games with his heart but there were many fans who wanted him to get hurt. I never really understood that but there were even fans on this site who didn't like him. So yes I would have to say there are so called fans that hate good dolphin players enough to wish harm upon them. JMO
