If Pennington's arm was stronger....

I think he'd be a top 5 QB in the league....scratch that....I think he'd be the best QB in the league....what can a fella do to make him throw harder? do you think there is anything he can do to get that arm strength up?
 
From what I've read, he did quite a bit last offseason to strengthen his arm, and worked on his throwing motion as well. He really did throw better last year than he had the previous couple years, at least from what I saw. Unfortunately, some guys just aren't built with a Howitzer, no matter how many different strengthening drills are done. He's still the guy I want under center, though. Great leader.
 
If Chads arm was stronger he would still be a Jet.

If Chad could make his arm stronger he probably would have by now. He has a great work ethic.
 
With his uncanny accuracy you don't want to mess with his mechanics too much and oddly enough... Arm 'strength' has little to do with actual strength... He is what he is and that is just fine with me.
 
And if Ronnie got the ball a zliion times he would be the best back in football. We cant deal in what if's but he is good for us now.
 
I think he is fine, yeah he can't throw it 70 yds. down the field but even if he could that wouldn't make us contenders. To me it's all about ball control and he is one of the best in the business. I understand some fans want henne due to the rocket arm well guess what Danny had the best arm ever and he couldn't get a ring. I am just happy to have some stability at the position and hopefully when henne is ready he can take over and it be business as usual.

arm strength, speed and many other things can be quite overrated.
 
he under throws every ball deeper than 18 yards. He has the accuracy but accuracy can only be good for so long. At the end of the half and games you need someone who can make those 26-30 yards zips downfield. He doesnt have that type of arm, and he is not getting younger or stronger. He is a great leader, but his little arm strength.

if his arm was stronger he will def still be a jet...

and maybe favre would of came to the phins.......NOT
 
i hope he sticks around as one of our coaches once he is done playing.
