I was playing with the ESPN Playoff Machine and it shows even if we win that if the Raiders beat the Colts (Wentz might be out) they jump to 6 seed and drop Colts to 7 and we're out and needing different things to happen to get back up into the top 7. Can anyone speak to if this is accurate?

That Raiders game is huge believe it or not.

Win out and we're in.

However if we lose this week there is a path at 9-8.

Obviously root for Phins to win out . However, to hedge our bets root for the following.

Denver beats Chargers
Cleveland beats Pitt

That will give us wiggle room

Oh the Raiders are huge because they are the 1 team that could theoretically eliminate us this week if we lose

Another game to watch is the Browns / Steelers. I think if we lose to the Titans and the Steelers win that game we would need the Steelers to beat the Ravens next week and have the Chargers lose

I think.

Obviously we either want to play the Titans, Pats or Bengals/Browns. Let someone else tussle with Buffalo in Buffalo.

Something else to keep in mind, if NE wins they are in. They are playing Jacksonville. Not sure if they have any motivation to control their playoff matchup or rest starters in week 17. Belichick has done that before even though most say he never does. Especially after a 17 game season. I’d be willing to bet the Pats aren’t eager to see Buffalo (neither would we be).

New England needs a win and a Miami or Las Vegas loss to clinch.

if Miami, Las Vegas and Indianapolis end up at 10-7, NE is out

No Patriots are not in. They need Raiders to lose. Which if they win they do not clinch.
