Then i'm not going to support him as a Miami Dolphin.
I've seen nothing but fall-flat-on-face from him so far, and i'm tired of making excuses for this guy. A combo with Ronnie Brown and Sammy Morris would, now, look a whole lot better than this excuse for a rushing attack.

He was in training camp, he played the preseason. He missed 5 weeks, so what, thats no excuse for not playing. Injured players jump back on their feet alot faster than Ricky is doing and those players probably have been immobilized by their injuries.

MIND YOU, though, I still have a thin sliver of hope.
In his 3rd or 4th game back in preseason (against TB, I forget which one it was), he ran for 80-something yards and a TD, and was looking like Ricky Williams again. It's a whole "3rd-Times-A-Charm" thing.

This Sunday's game against the Saints is his 3rd game back and hopefully the 3rd-time thing will pay off.

GO FINS! :D

ok you do that... But really did this need to be posted? Ricky Williams has no offensive line to run behind and he was gone for a year. This is kind of what you would have expected. If he had an offensive line then maybe we would see him do a little more.

Ronnie Brown's doing a fantastic job, isin't he?

;)

And so what if he was gone for a year.
HE TRAINED IN THE OFFSEASON.
HE WAS IN TRAINING CAMP.
HE PLAYED IN PRESEASON.

 :shakeno:

He needs an oline. Not an excuse, just the facts.

they guy as gotten the ball like 12 times. Nearly everytime he touches the ball he gets hit right away. The Time he doesnt there is most likely a penalty. Get off his back

that is because ricky and ronnie brown and ricky are different running backs. But I can guarantee ricky would be doing ALOT better if he had a good offensive line to run behind. You put Ricky behind an offensive line like Kansas City and you would not be mentioning this.

Of course, but we DON'T have a line like Kansas City and we have to make due with what we have.
Ronnie Brown and Sammy Morris (when he does play) are doing fine. Ricky is not.

Nor has ronnie, but that aint stopped anybody slagging him off--At the end of the day they are both class and will perform behind what is right for them

There were people on this site who said "Morris is runing well and Ronnie is not, Ronnie is a bust!!!" after he had played 2 games. Now Ricky comes back after not playing for an entire year and you are saying that Ronnie and Sammy are runing well and Ricky isnt so he sucks. Give the guy some time.

exactly give the man some time. People were ready to cut of Ronnie's head after week two. We probably would be feeling the same way if Ronnie had not gotten those long runs this season. Point is people there are 16 games in an nfl season. Your rushing to conclusion on a guy who has been gone for a season and missed the first 4 games!!!

Dude playcalling is everything. Thats why coaches are so important in this league. The play calling has been horrible to say the least. Go ahead and say "Well if he only touches the ball a couple times he needs to make it happen." But the fact is, a big play comes every once and a while. And if your only touching the ball 5 times a game most the time (and that counts catches) you do the math on the probability of good plays. RB has better stats because he gets it more and respectivly so. You need to calm down and support whoever is on our team. I cant stand Reggie Howard and he is useless but I support him till he leaves. A dolphin is a dolphin. Wake up, and come out of the fair weather.

He needs more carries in a game to figure out how to find holes when there are none behind this crappy Oline.

Man, I've had faith in Ronnie since Draft Day.
Ronnie had a valid excuse -- he is a rookie and getting adjusted to the game. He has adjusted incredibley (Offensive Rookie Of The Year, Anyone?)

Ricky, however, has no true excuse. He has experience, he knows the game, he has the physical capabilities. Players have missed seasons and more and still played with a full effort.
And our offensive line is decent, at least its not like the Texans where Dave Carr is getting sacked 7 times a game.
