the waiting is maddening. I would rather get the gut shot so I can stop worrying about it. He has to know if he is firing Ireland or philbin by now, most likely he isnt, so announce that the team is going into its off season...dont do what you did to sporano again...

You cant just pretend that everything is business as normal...

I can't help but wonder if Ross is waiting for the report of the Incognito investigation. That's troubling if true.

He's going to wait 2 weeks till after all the good candidates have been signed to other teams. Such a Dolphinsy thing to do.

why announce. He will say he looked at big picture and as long as they make one change he will be fine.
So then Sherman is offered up to the altar even though he is far from the only problem.
Ireland will then rehire Brian Daboll and ross wont even remember he was already our OC.

how about you relax and wait to see what happens...it IS the ****ing holidays...who gives a **** what other teams have done????????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The investigation is over. It's just not being made public yet. Ross knows what Ted Wells found.

what do the holidays have to do with the business of the NFL? I want to know if he is just going to do nothing or if changes are going to happen. IMO he knows if he is going to make changes or not already, and if he is not he just needs to say it...and then i would like him to sell the team...

Personally Im about to that point.

my hope is that behind the scenes he's gauging interest from candidates he has in mind for the positions he plans on changing. it's probably too much to ask though that he'd be so organized?

Exactly this^

It's simple - he already stated that NO ONE is safe... translation: If someone better comes available, he will let Philbin and Ireland go.

It's clear that he is not happy with how we finished the season... NO ONE is. With that said, neither Philbin nor Ireland were TERRIBLE, but both were absolutely mediocre (and I have been hyper critical of both). So the truth is, there may not necessarily be a better candidate out there to just fire them. I hope there is, as I want both gone, but Ross is gauging the availability and will act accordingly.

Relax, take a deep breathe, this is a billionaire here, not some 80 yr old senile old man.

Gauging interest from candidates? Like he did with Harbaugh?

Ross may have already figured out what he's going to do. there is however no serious benefit to moving forward at this very minute. you got 12 teams in the playoffs with coaches and GMs that are currently untoucbable and unapproachable. why rush?

Get a life for crying out loud, it's New Years Eve. Get a grip man!

I don't know maybe to send a message to the fans that this mediocrity is not to be accepted. Most other teams announce their firings right away. This is to be expected from dolphins's owners. They even waited before they fired Cameron.
