we will lose on sunday, andre johnson will have a huge day, also the way culpepper is playing right now, I think it is really stupid to start talking about being 2-2

It's stupid to start thinking about being 2-2?

No, it's stupid to guarantee being 2-2.

I would start Bell instead of Tillman who sucks. Bell is the real deal.:dolphins:

Amen! I just don't get why Tillman is still in the lineup over Bell. He seems to make huge plays whenever he's on the field. Maybe Saban likes the medium he gets out of Tillman oppose to the big play every once in a while by Bell. He is always in there on blitzing packages and always seems to get to the QB.

Yeah, it is pretty stupid to talk about being 2-2, when the next game is against an 0-3 team that has looked flat-out terrible and never competitive in their three losses.

Watch our O-line, then go watch any other O-line in the league (other than Oakland)

I like the play of our CB's. I thought Goodman played pretty well yesterday. I know the play of our Safeties has been something people are talking about, but give them a little slack. You have to remember, we blitz more than 50% of the time on 3rd downs. We blitz almost every 3rd and long. Most of the time, that blitz is picked up. Now we're asking our Safeties to have to cover WR's out in the open field. I mean that isn't exactly the job of a Safety to be covering WR's one on one for a long time. It's tough. The Titans, fortunately for us, left alot of plays out on the field (especially in the passing game). Most of this was due to blitzes getting picked up, and Kerry having time to notice one-on-one matchups with our Safeties on WRs.

All these secondary complaints are baseless. Our defense has played well enough to win every game we've played this year. Giving up 10 and 16 points isn't bad at all it's good. And 14 of the steelers 24 was a free gift courtesy of our offense. And I mean a gift, at least it appeared to be presented in that way. Every defense gives up some points. Every defense gives a long pass once in a while. Our secondary is decent. If we were getting beat by teams scoring in the high 20s or in the 30s there might be a point to be made, but the way the scoring has played out all this worst secondary stuff is utter nonsense.

Careful - I've seen lots of posts this season "guaranteeing" wins against Pittsburgh, and "guaranteeing" blowout wins against both Buffalo and Tennessee.

Needless to say - this team is a disappointment thus far this season and we have no clue what type of team we will have this Sunday. One thing is for sure, our uninspired play will serve to inspire the Texans and give them some confidence.

This is exactly why I am calling the Allen pick a bust (so far). When the secondary is this bad, and you spend the #16 pick on a guy, he'd better be starting or it was a waste.

It is half and half blame.

Culpepper is looking like Drew Bledsoe lately. He has no mobility. There was a play where their nose tackle bull rushed up the center and sacked Culpepper. Gus Ferotte would have scrambled out of the way and made the pass.

The more I see of Culpeper the more I think he was pushed into the job. I'm starting to believe that his knee is in nowhere near good enough condition to be playing. He is currently one of the least mobile quarterbacks in the NFL.

I'll say this about Saban. He better find the people that can play his scheme by next year. He's still in the process of revamping the secondary but by next year we better have the types of players he wants back there. We cant keep addressing that group every single offseason. Next year we need some Defensive linemen under 30, a MLB to replace or groom behind Zach and a LOT. Some of the pklayers Saban brought in better be able to do the job because we cant continue revamping that secondary every year
