At the end of the season.

Didn't we make the playoffs when we started 2-4? Not sure if I remember the exact record.

Not a fan of firing during the season. You never want t send the message to the team after 5 or 6 games the season is over, whether they know it or not. Especially not when the players like the HC.

If you do that you might as well clean house and plan on rebuilding. No more Wake, Dansby Marshall etc... Start trading them now.

Unless Ross is plannng on selling the team or moving to LA you don't fire him till after the season

But do they respect him?

the only realistic time to fire a coach is during the bye week, if it is any other team you are basically hanging the rest of your coaches and players out to dry. If you are Ross you have to wait till the end of the season. Ross wants to sell tickets, and the only thing that can be worse for ticket sales is if Ross publicly states he has no faith in this team and that is what he would be doing by firing sparano during the season.

Like and respect two different creatures...

If you fire him too soon we won't draft top 5 beacuse the players will lay it one the line for their jobs with a new coach...

hopefully he rides through the whole season. Because it will ensure a high pick to get a good QB, and hopefully the face of the franchise for the next decade +.

the last thing you want is to fire him early and watch the team play harder for the next guy just to see a very boring 7-9 record again. With mediocre draft slots for a mediocre team

If we lose to the Browns, it's obvious he has lost the players. At that point, it's time to let him go, appoint Nolan as interim head coach and we start courting a new coach.

fire him midseason and let the ship sink to the ground. we are playing for a draft pick by then and the new regime will have a Top 5 pick to build things off.
