If these daring moves backfire the Dolphins will be a laughingstock

We are easily the biggest laughingstock right now in the NFL. What team is a bigger joke right now? I can only think of Indy.

Do you think people sit around and laugh at teams like it’s 5th grade? Cleveland has won 4 games in three years and they’re being talked about as on the rise now.

No one really cares. Certainly not as much as you think they do.

This fire sale has been needed since Saban was here, every year its been the same crap and we just put band aids on everything and the band aids have been over prices, often injuries vets that don't produce. We need to blow it up and build from the ground up. My only concern is Tannenbaums philosophy, you really need to build from the draft, but he loves trading picks and over spending in Free Agency

Is there a such thing as a daring move coming off a 6-10 season. If the team replaces Landry and Suh with mid-level talent and finish at .500 that's actually an improvement and back to norm for most of the recent seasons. If they fall below 6-10 they will be in a good spot for 2019 with cap space and high draft picks.

Could make us the laughing stock or the start of something good either way....no playoffs this year!

Sad thing is though, if Tanny isnt hurt we arent a 6 win team. Yes, one player DOES make a difference.

That word, laughing stock is thrown around too much here. It's idiotic.

Isn't it? Routinely, we are a middle of the pack win total-team that lost it's starting QB. Yet we are the laughing stock of the league?

Not the team that went 0-16
Not the teams that spent a boat load in the offseason (Giants, Raiders) with no significant injury.

But us? This place!

What? Lol..How does a clearly dysfunctional team win 6,7,8,9,10(playoff berth) games routinely in the NFL?

Next year Tannehill is going to play WR? Is this supposed to be a serious analysis show or a parody show?

How exactly can these moves backfire? Paying Landry would have been nuts, and Suh’s contract was ridiculous from the start. The other two cuts were no brainers. This team was going nowhere as it was constituted.

Now, could the team screw up the rebuilding? Of course, and there’s a good chance they will. Doesn’t mean it was wrong to try.

The main reason our team finished 10-6 on 2016 were a very powered running game led by Ajayi the beast and having Landry to move the chains, his average YAC were elite. Top of the league for WR. Tannehiill is way better than Cutler and that is the reason why we finished 6-10 last year. Gase hasnt proved he is the type of coach that can win with strategy over talent. Only Bellicheat has done that, and even him recognized that some players are worth keeping despite some issues like Amendola, Edelman “the slot WR”, Gronk is injury prone and his running backs that are one dimensional but he understand that talent must be used accordingly. Now I don’t see Bellicheat getting rid of the best slot receiver in the game, a top 5 DT and a strong breaking tackle machine like Ajayi. That is why he wins and we loose. If they were that successful by ignoring Gase orders and players like Caroo, Julius Thomas and Jay Cutler were that putrid despite following Gase by the book, then it tells you just how much significant is talent. Landry ignoring the playbook is 300% better than Caroo following it, so until you draft or take on FA a WR that actually plays better than Landry because of discipline, you just don’t get rid of the few talented players you have. On 2016 we had 4 players on the top 5 at their position. Suh, Ajayi, Jones and Landry. Seems like only one of them will remain on the roster.
