All the reports on ESPN said it was likely to come down to Grimm and Rivera, though Tomlin had an impressive interview. No link to that, saw it on Inside the Huddle last night w/John Clayton.

I think the fact we haven't made an announcement yet and are taking our time will bode well for any of the other candidates out there still in the playoffs. I don't believe we've gotten down to the actual "finalists" yet.

I'm as eager as anyone for an announcement, but I also want them to use due dilligence...unless we want to go through all this again in 2-3 years...

CRAP! I was thinking the exact same thing this morning....I really want Tomlin....

Although I did read on KFFL that if he is hired, he would bring in his own assistants....I think that is why we may have fallen out of the Tomlin race....because we signed Capers

That's my guess too, and probably what led to Wayne offering Capers that huge deal to stay as DC.

Kind of off topic but I didn't know of this site back when Saben was hired, I just wanted to know everyones feelins about when he was hired, I get the idea that no matter what coacing canidate is brought up someone is piised off.

I think Tomlin may be a lot more hype than substance.

I think many teams have used him to fill their requirement to interview minority candidates.

He may be a good young coach, but I don't see a lot of teams falling all over themselves to make him an offer.

No, the truth is that no matter what candidate is brought up a LOT of people get pissed off, very sad.

Not Really, he is going to be an ok HC, but will have more of a future as a Coordinator....if he gets the Steelers Job, he will have the Job of HC for a few years, then will be looking for work again.
