i really hope that we still draft whitehurst in the third.will we draft a QB though and who?
 
I think so, but probably 4th round or later. Maybe someone like Meyer, who could be a nice developmental type.
 
It's possible. But they likelihood drops slightly since we don't have a 6th round pick. There are so many needs to fill, a QB, even in the later rounds, doesn't seem likely. Now, there could be some trading down to accumalate a few later picks. But if that doesn't happen, I strongly doubt we'll invest a pick in a QB. We'll use the early picks on DBs, OL, LB. The later picks would be for either or both of an OL or a big DT. We just don't presently have enough picks to afford us the luxury of picking a late round QB in the hopes that we land a diamond in the rough.
 
I say we will, but it will be a late round project no doubt about that. If Brees gets signed, I don't see us drafting a QB earlier than the 4th round.
 
I've been saying for the last 2 days that I think we'll take a QB but it'd be on day 2....Betts, Olsen,Macneal,Neal and Graboski are posible guys we could look at imo....I don't think that Nick will make the same mistake Wanny made...Nick will not neglet the most important position on the team.

I think we will. Mueller said he plans to draft a QB every year and I don't see why this year would be any different. Plus Brees is coming off of an injury and you never know what could happen.
 
I think since the likelyhood is we'd get at least 5 years out of brees maybe more and our reduced number of picks this year i would probably look to adress other areas this year
 
Definitely, if not this year, no doubt we do next year.
