First before everyone freaks out, this is just a coriousity question. If we had a chance the get Favre would you want to? I really think the guy is capable of being a top 5 QB for a few more years. Would you like him to be our QB and show Beck and Henne the ropes, or just take our QB growing pain lumps now since we are a couple years away from being serious contenders? I like Favre a lot, but think we should let our QB (who over it is) grow with the team.

I think we need to let our young QB's get playing time rather than tread water with Favre, who is OK but not going to put us over the top at his age.
 
No. Having him would really not help the team. This is a team looking for the future, trying to get young.

Last year or the year before, I would have been all for it. But now that we have officially started rebuild mode, IMO, it would only hinder the progression of the QB'S. Favre would be the full time starter. With McCown, atleast Beck and or Henne would see playing time sometime in the season. I don't feel any of our coaches EXPECT McCown to be our full year starter. IMO he will be the starter but only for the first 8-10 games or so.

Adding Favre just slows down and hinders our rebuild mode

I agree with you 100%
 
I really hope Beck or Henne seriously become our franchise QB! I really miss having an icon at QB who is the face of the team like Dan the man. Wow, we were spoiled!
 
No. It's time we groom our own franchise QB. If that QB turns out to be Beck he surely cannot afford to ride the bench another year.

We'd have to give up a pick to get him. Not to mention he'd only play one year. It's not worth it anymore than trading for JT is worth it to anyone else.

we need to have a Miami Dolphin QB, some one we draft who is not another teams QB
 
No- We are rebuilding and that doesn't start with a 40 year old QB
