Say we do get Bree's and Gus restuctures, they are still gonna compete in training camp right?

Also if they do compete its possible that Gus beats him out in camp.

And if Gus does beat him out will Saban still play Gus?
 
I would say that that is a pretty logical conclusion. They would both be running a new offense.....At least partially new for gus, and of course, Saban will play the best player at the position. That being said, there is no way Gus beats out Drew Brees for the job, should it happen.
 
I think Saban will go with the QB that gives them the BEST chance of winning. That being said, I honestly believe that Brees would win the QB competition outright, JMO.
 
This isnt an insult of any kind, but I was curious. I've seen some folks type like this thread starter did.

Why would you say, Bree's?

It's Brees. I was just wondering

Agreed, Gus may actually have Brees in the long ball, but as far as short accurate passes drew most likely wins out. I gues we will have to wait and see for sure.

The deep ball is nice, but i think it's more important to have the short ball accuracy. Face it, thats how Tom Brady eats up defenses.

Yeah, and Brees can throw the deep ball, He played in Joe Tillers whacked out offense at Purdue. it is a vertical game. Gus may have more arm strength. But that's all Gus has on him.

And it is usually considered "tacky" to correct somone's grammar - spelling of proper noun, OK, I'll do that. I'm like him tho - last night I was adding a post and then I went back over it and I had Bree['s] too. Some folks type what they've got to say and post it, some folks spell check it, some folks don't give a hoot. Me, I'd say if we were trying to run an aristocrat board and we required everyone to be a Harvard grad, then dang it - 5 points and no posting anything about Drew until you can spell his name [insert chuckle here][or not].:goof:

I think Brees is a good QB, he played well against us last year. As long as we have an improvement at QB, I personally don't care who it is.
 
Since were talkin Brees, does anyone know the status of his injury?? How's he coming along?
