there are a couple of guys on this list that I think could help us out at OL, DL, and S

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/8801521

Here are my pics for guys worth a look.

OL
Tupe Peko

DL
Cletidus Hunt
Mario Fatafehi

S
Terreal Bierria
Russell Stuvaints

Not saying that these guys could start for us, just that they could be guys that provide some depth.

I don't know much about any of them, but I'm sure there were some surprise cuts around the league of players who are better than some of those on our roster.

I have a gut feeling that we will sign a DT or a G today. There sure are alot of FA's that can do good here. Too bad that we can't sign them all.

Shazor was cut also, but he is stuck in twenner hell and should have stayed at michigan for one more year and learned how to play lb

Looking at our roster I feel strongly that we'll sign a G

Also some guys I would add to that list with G Tupe Peko, DT Cletidus Hunt, and DT Mario Fatafehi, would be LB Jay Foreman, TE Teyo Johnson, DE Hugh Douglas (I'm not saying I think we should sign this guy but possibly an option), WR David Terrell, LB Nate Wayne, DT Tony Williams, RB Quentin Griffin, LB Jashon Sykes, QB Matt Mauck, QB J.T. O'Sullivan, CB Ashley Ambrose, LB Alonzo Jackson, WR Jerome Pathon, WR Bobby Shaw, S Arturo Freeman, WR Kevin Dyson

Also some rookies that we here at FinHeaven that we talked about drafting that are available:

C- Vince Carter
T- Wesley Britt
S- Ernest Shazor
DT- Anttaj Hawthorne
WR- Craphonso Thorpe

Not saying these are guys I want us to get (some are though), I'm just saying these are the more notable cuts that we could look into.

I dislike your list. I would go:

DT- Antaaj Hawthorne
DE- Rodney Bailey (The D-Line as a whole is OLD, and this guy is HUGE, YOUNG, and can PLAY DT or DE, in my opinion)

T- Wesley Britt- Would he really make the roster at this point? It would be a "Sexy" pickup, a guy highly regarded going into the draft for a team that has O-Line problems (which this fan is not THAT worried about to be completely honest) seems to be logical. However, who do you cut? A vet that knows the sytem? Its dicey, but if Nick likes him/Houck wants him I'll be happy with it.

LB- I believe we will pick up a LB and cut Eddie Moore. IMO Saban kept him on for now, but he is one of the first cuts. I dont think Saban is confident in him. I like Nate Wayne, or Eric Alexander who played for Saban.

WR- Fred Gibson if we are looking for a young guy, Jerome Pathon if we want stability and depth. Knowing Saban, he would prob prefer Fred.

I wish we could add a CB but the list of cut DBs is weak.

Anyway, I think we could get much better today and I think Saban will jump at the opportunity.

Also released by Jacksonville, ex-Miami Hurricane "stand-out Center Brett Romberg"...Anyone know anything about him?

I do remember us talking about Carter at center, whats the take on him? Also, you don't think we should bring in David Gibson for a look? SEC? He has that look to him, TALL LANKY FAST WR.... 4th round pick from the Steelers.

Tupe Peko was good at Indy, I believe he is a smaller lineman tho..
