I know we all want 2 1st and Marion Barber and maybe a player on top of it for the 1st overall pick, but lets say we had their picks and they had the first pick over all. Would we package Ronnie Brown and 2 firsts for DMAC? I am not sure that the opinion of the league is that Ronnie is better than Barber. I love Ronnie but i don't want to argue which is better. The question is what would you package with Ronnie for the first overall pick. Of course you would have to assume that you were a midround playoff team also.

No, simply because Run DMC is not someone we need right now. They desire him and they are very strong in most aspects of the game. Sure they could use a better LOLB or maybe a better lineman to fill in for Flozell but they did make a trip to the playoffs and feel that DMC is a difference maker. We aren't ready to take someone like that when he would be replacing arguably our most valued player..

yea i wouldn't trade ronnie right now...possibly the most valuable player on our team now and it would be dumb...the cowboys are in a totally different situation

Dude everyone is missing the point that will hurt this trade from going through.

Cowboys.

HAVE HOLES and Major ones at that

They need a CB
They Need an OLB
They need a Safety
They need a LT if Flozell leaves.

This trade will not happen. The fins will ask for TOO much and no team will give value to move up for a 53+ gar money draft pick

Bro it depends on wht they can fill in free agency. If they are in good shape after that it will depend on what they can come to an agreement on with Miami. They still would have draft picks left to help fill the left over holes.

wrong......this trade probably wont happen, BUT, i could see a trade with a team like atlanta, or another team with a lower pick who wants a QB or RB

Why Barber?
Id ask for their first two rounders and next years third or something?
We have solid corps with Ronnie, Ricky, Booker and Chattman (even though im sure not all of em will be back)
Marion will propably cost som $$ too. ID take next years 3d...cuz I doubt we wil lbe done rebuilding by this time next year.

They resigned Hamlin so they need no safety. They signed Zach so they are set at LB. They need only an LT.

why in the world would anyone want to get rid of Ronnie. That's freakin' nuts:err:

No team should ever trade for the first pick. The chances of the value of the player equaling what you have to give up to get the pick are slim if existent at all. Not only does a team have to give up multiple high picks but they have to pay an obscene amount to the player chosen. I would be surprised to see a #1 overall pick traded unless there is a QB that is can't miss in the way that no other player has been before or the rules change to how much a rookie can be paid. The person that trades for that pick in any other circumstances should be immediatly fired and the team should be banned to the AFL for 3 seasons.

Ronnie is better than both Barber and Jones so no. If the Dolphins had a pick in the middle of the draft and had the oppertunity to trade up for an unproven RB by trading a guy who we've all seen play at solid football on the NFL level, and two first rounds, i'd say they shouldn't do it. I dont think RB is a big enough need to execute that trade. In fact i dont even think Dallas should do it, but i'd love to see if they did.

Getting rid of Ronnie is moronic. If we could do this trade, I'd hate it because we'd be passing on Long or Gholston, but I'd love it because we could get DRC and a good LB to fill the loss of Thomas.

Either way, this offseason is shaping up to be great.

For the simple reason that Ronnie is better then Barber, I would not package anything that included Ronnie.
