No less than what we got for Welker. I'd still rather have him than a 2nd rounder though.

hard to say.....its not easy to make a trade....hell,its even harder to make a trade for a player thats only played one year,and was undrafted.
Agreed I would rather keep him also as you do not "luck" into players like that every day!

I voted a 7th. Not because I think that's what he's worth, but because he's an UDFA and I don't think other teams will see the same value we see.

A seventh would be the most likely. Guys, he was a slot receiver in a run-first team who played well down the stretch as a starter. He isn't a superstar. A second round pick is a bit unrealistic, and Welker's trade was the exception, not the rule.

There's no way we get a 2nd rounder for Bess. If we could we would have already done so. Some of you have way too much homer in you.

I'd guess a 4th or 5th.
True we may be homers but remember trading is a 2 way street and we got both a 2nd and 7th for Welker! How many teams would offer a 7th rounder for Devon Bess today might have been a better question. I would suggest that "if" we were willing to take a 7th for Devon Bess we phins would get 31 offers? Just IMO. But of course I am asking your opinion.

No doubt we could get a 7th rounder for him. I think we could possibly get a team to bite on a 4th rounder. Possibly. We're better off keeping him because he's more valuable to us then he would be to other teams.
you know it's been a long off season when hypotheticals like this are being thrown out there.
Players like Bess dont get traded... An undrafted player's salary is a joke, If you hit on one, you keep him. I say a third for that reason only, as a team would trade it for the salary alone. Makes sense for a team to trade for a player who performed like a 3rd in is first year in the NFL under a UDFA contract. Value...
