pass on any of these players in the draft, I, as well as all PhinsPhans should be disappointed.
In my opinion this should be the Dolphin's big board.
Jamarcus Russell
Calvin Johnson
Dwayne Jarrett
Ted Ginn, Jr.
Leon Hall
Laron Landry
As you see, there are six players. This means if at least three teams in front of us take other players to fill their needs, we will be able to get someone from this group.
I understand the argument that we need to get younger on defense and possibly look at drafting a D-Lineman or Linebacker, but our front seven is good now and we have done good in the last couple drafts getting young talent in later rounds (Matt Roth, Channing Crowder), We can afford to keep doing this now and not mess with what is the strength of our team.
For those of you wanting an O-Lineman, preferably Joe Thomas, it's too risky. He may turn out great but we can't afford to take a gamble like that now.
When you are drafting at #9 you need to draft a difference maker, and for the weaker side of the ball for your team (in our case, the offense). I believe if any of the three wide receivers are available, We MUST take them. We have plenty of picks in the later rounds to pick up lineman and young proteges for the front seven.
