If Weis is canned at ND...should we look him up for our possible new OC?

Ok so i like many of you have heard or seen that Charlie Weis is skating on thin ice at ND and prob will get the boot at the end of the season.

So with all the issues we seem to have with Henning could you see this move happening, do we get rid of our guy now and bring in Weis or someone else. Or do we stick it out with Henning and hope for the best.

Thoughts? Opinions? Suggestions for other candidates?

I say Weis would garner some consideration seeing how he is from the BP tree but thats just me.
 
I say we just bring back Mike Shula and runningbacks coach Bernie Parmalee and i would seriously think about bringing in Nat as wr coach . ok let the acefin your wrong posts begin .

I'm reluctant about bringing in such a big ego. It would definitely be something that Bill Parcells would have to broker and keep an eye on.

And, assuming Parcells may be gone after this year (or after next year, at most), he might not really be able to do that.

I say pass.....there are other OCs that are qualified.
Get an up-and-comer, the next "hot commodity", not a has-been...
 
I still think David Lee will be our future OC anyways. The one guy I think we will bring in is Romeo Crennel as our DC.
 
you know its strange you brought up Parcells because somebody on the radio seems think that Parcells and Ireland both are gone in the offseason but I cant see Ireland Leaving but Parcells is building ahouse up in Saratoga.
 
Parcells has been a part time resident in Saratoga for a long time as far as I know. He's a horse racing nut. In addition to being a baseball nut and, obviously, a football nut.

If Parcells sticks around I think you can bring in Weis but if not I'm comfortable with letting David Lee call the shots.
 
Bash away but IMO, we need to bring in a defensive coordinator like Rex Ryan without the mediawhore trashtalking part. a guy who has confidence, brings new schemes and has good expierence. someone who has a pair of balls nd knows what hes doing instead of playing it safe all game and even with trying to do that getting burned..

On the OC situation, a guy like Weis would be very goood..

I WAS just going to post this very thing. romeo is one of bills favorite "guys" that
have been with him for years. and romeo keeps being seen around the facility
and with parcells. there was that restaraunt thing a few weeks back were the
two were seen having dinner.

i REALLY hope this happens as pasqualone is NOT the answer and i feel is 85% the
problem with this defense.

i am praying to god that we do not have another shula/olivadotti situation on our
hands with parcells and pasqualone [who go way back]. bill is another of those
coaches who tend to blame his staff last and RARELY fires one.

if pasqualone is not gone, you can bring in every top defensive player in the draft
along with all the free agents and still no get it done. this a poorly designed defense
by ANY standards.
 
Why not, especially after all the wonderful things he has done at Notre Dame.

I wouldn't mind having Weiss or Crennel. They both are great teachers of the game and would bring a experience level even better than what we have.
 
Chuck and Romeo reuniting in Miami? I really want Romeo, but I'd be pretty happy with Weis. I honestly think there's a 75% chance Romeo is our DC next season. I think there's a 5% chance Weis is our OC.

I actually been thinking about the same thing, I think it would be a upgrade, no offense to David Lee. Also, I like the idea of bringing in Romeo Crennal, but who knows, I think Weis would be very good for Henne like he was for Brady.
