If we're going to beat the Falcons, we must play....

Wanny ball. Here's why:

1. The Falcons have a terrible run defense but a very good pass defense
2. Frerotte is shaky at best
3. We have 2 monster RB's that can more than shoulder the load
4. We have to win the TOP battle in order for the defense to be fresh enough to keep up w/ Vick and that offense.
5. By running the ball 45-50, we will more than likely force the Falcons to wilt under the South Florida heat in their black jerseys by the 4th quarter.


What do you think?
 
Yeah, you are right. But....

Wanny ball was run twice between the tackles, pass on 3rd down if needed, and then punt. We need to get the run established, but then get some play action passing going, and some misdirection with the reverses.

Also, I havn't seen a screen pass in a while. One that has worked anyway.

Wanny ball...yuck! I prefer the conservative play to win approach better. Wanny ball was run on first and second and pass (FROM AN IDIOT- Fiedler) on 3rd down and play NOT TO LOSE. There is a BIG difference.

we need to stick with Wanny ball
 
We have to play Wanny ball b/c of Frerotte. But then again, Atlanta is known for their rushing offense FIRST. Just like Kansas City.


You run to set-up the pass. I like it

By Wanny ball I'm referring to the overwhelming amount of running plays called.
 
Alt. will but 8 in the box and force gus to win the game. It will take a lot of three step drops on 1st down to open up the running lanes . I would think it will take close to 40 passes to beat the Falcons and Gus will have to hit at least 25 to 30 to win.
 
Atlanta has shown they have a lot of problems stopping the run. I think it will be RnR all day, and gus will throw about 25 passes...maybe a few play action deep shots thrown in there as well. I see it being a close game, but Vick will tear our defense up if we don't figure out how to contain the running game.

Morris does the best on screens. He always gets something out of nothing. He won't see the field much now though.
 
Here is how we beat Atlanta:

1. Run the ball 75% of the time....keeps the clock moving and keeps Vick off the field.

2. We need Zach to focus on trying to stay with Vick....keep Zach near the line of scrimmage and when Vick tries to run hopefully Zach can stay with Vick speedwise and get some help.

3. Blitz like crazy. The more hits you put on Vick, the sooner he fumbles, throws INT's, and goes out of the game with an injury.
