If we are pretty much out of the playoff race come week 12 or so, do you start Lemon or Rosenfels for the rest of the games?

I go with Lemon, his ceiling seems to be higher than Rosenfels from what little I know of him.

I think Sage deserves a shot. He is always our best qb in preseasons and has been with the team longer than anyone. I have also seen some people say he played good in a game last year so why do people bash him? He doesn't whine but works hard and says he would like a chance to start.

Sage was the higher rated out of college....and as far as I'm concerned...he has earned the right....being dissed as he has.

I thought the comments that Lemon's agent was quoted as saying were interesting. Basically that he wanted to hurry up and learn so he could get in there. For some reason it sounded different than the usual "prepare with the attitude that you're going to start" schpiel. Just thought it was interesting.

Oh, and I'd go with Lemon.

I would to, but seeing as how we gave up basically a 2nd and 7 rounder for Cleo Lemon, we might as well play to see what he has..

How do you know his ceiling is higher? Sage was a good prospect coming out of college. He was on the verge of being a starter for a terrible Redskin organization. He wasn't givin a fair shot until Saban came in Miami. He always plays well when I watch him and I have never heard of this lemmon guy. Also he beat out Feely and lead the nfl in passing yards in the preseason.

If we throw this lemmon in we give up the season. He has never played with anyone on our team and if you put him in over Sage the team will think its not being loyal or fair to a guy that works his a** off with them every day.

I didn't say it WAS higher, I said it SEEMED to be higher from what LITTLE I've seen of him. All the Charger fans say he's great, and I saw him a few times in the preseason. thats what I'm basing it on.

come week 12? Lemon.....

Sage is a FA after the season, while Cleo is signed for the 2006 season for a measly 385K. Basically, Cleo COULD have a future here because of his contract, while Sage is done once the clock strikes January

Well, the original post implies that the season IS done, ie out of playoff contention.
